The problem is I don't speak a word of the language. I've tried speaking English very loudly and slowly in a range of foreign accents but it's not working.
All I want is a beer, I've no idea where I am, I could be in your country. So tell me how do I ask for a beer in your native language?
In many languages, if you pronounce BEER, and make a drinking motion with a bent elbow, they may get the idea. They may bring you water, and if they do, just shake your head and do the bent elbow motion again.
FYI, I've done a lot of traveling to foreign countries, and I've always tried to learn at least some of their language, and asking for a beer is one thing I always try to learn. I can ask for a beer in, let me see, in at least 5 different languages.
Maybe you should just make sure I'm with you when you wake up and want that beer. 😎
Your funny purple. This similar story happened to me in Vegas a while back Although my question was not how I can get another beer when I woke. I had plenty the night before, my question was where was my wallet?
Just top your elbow in a drinking motion and say Canadian and you will get a Molson Canadian beer. Of course we speak English here so we could likely understand your British accent.
