There aren't any really good airlines any more for "common folk". There used to be - it was called Midwest Express. It started as the corporate airline for Kimberly-Clark and then went public. They were based out of Milwaukee, and had a limited flight schedule that include major east coast cities and some in the midwest and west coast.
Every seat was a first-class size seat, so only two seats per side. You got a meal and free soft drinks on every flight over 2 hours, and/or a warm chocolate chip cookie on shorter flights. Alcohol was cheap too. The tickets cost more than other airlines, but it was worth it. Naturally, they went out of business because people preferred to travel cheap in cattle cars.
I have not been on a plane since before 9/11 and probably will never fly again so I do not have a fave.
@Uglycryer The hassle of going to the airport, going through security, the cavity searches and the cattle cars that pass for an airplane sort of ruined it for me. I would rather just drive.
I really like Southwest, I’ve never had a problem with them traveling. Probably have used them the most. I taken Spirit, Breeze, and a few others that were ok. American Airlines cancelled my flight the one time I took them after a four hour delay and I got lucky southwest had a flight that evening.
I like Virgin Atlantic. Only problem is that their planes are pretty cramped and it takes a while for everyone to get out of the plane. And no restroom. You have to be good at holding it. Lastly, you have to be a virgin to fly.

because of this. . .
I would book this again-and-again.
I chose British Airways because I was impressed with their service, especially food service. You got a choice of 3 dinners, and it was packed with food. And, the food was great! Delicious.
PS I did mean Virgin Atlantic, as another poster mentioned. I forget the name of the actual airline, but that's what I flew, Virgin Atlantic. Also--I don know if they still do this--but my daughter and I received a freebee from them--a bag to carry items in, and soft sleepers for the eyes to hello you sleep. They were great.
I think Delta is the best for at least domestic US flights based on the cost of the ticket, flight entertainment, seat comfort, booking, check- in, and service.
Turkish Air with a Flare. xxoo
I've always had good experiences with delta
I have only flown twice in the past 20 years, so I have no favorite.
The one that gets me to point A to point B in the quickest time without crashing.
Amen, to that!
@Hawkes_Lady But is that the point in general? lol
@mansearching Oh, most definitely, that is the biggest point, getting to your destination in one piece and alive is always the main goal, at least in my opinion. Everything else is just extra gravy!
@Hawkes_Lady lol.. . yes it is.
Where's Turkish Airlines in the poll choices? I firmly think that it's the best of all and followed by Emirates.
I always travel by my national airline unless I don't have an option.
If not then it's usually going for the lowest bidder
The ones that will stay on the ground. I'm scared to death of flying ✈ 😋. What if things go wrong and we run out of coffee as well?
No thanks.
I dont know but the worst is egypt airlines. Never on time and shytty food
Air asia, garuda, singapore, malaysia, etihad, emirates
I fly a lot and United has been good to me... it is safe and the flight attendants are friendly
Have always liked my hometown airline United…and like their super cool Polaris business class seats
Ryanair and Norwegian, cheap. That's all what i care about, cheap flight tickets
Emirates. Was in coach, it was almost like flying first class
I only flew once and I was on American airlines. It was an ok flight. A little bit of turbulence which bothered me. I think that's why I prefer to keep my feet on the ground
Don’t like flying but my favourite is probably Emirates.
I fly Westjet if possible. Good rewards, good customer service, and reliable so far
Emirates, Singapore, and Qatar are all better
I hate them all , American the worst , rude dirty planes
I seldom fly but Swissair is the best I've used.
Everybody calm down. They ceased operations in 2002. But Swiss International Airlines also has a good reputation.
I actually like JetBlue.
Delta but Frontier and Spirit are cool too
American Airlines
Qatar or Virgin Australia.
Mahan Airlines

Qatar Airways.
National airlines and Pan Am
American. Hands down.
