I remember I was on the sideline once and this tall skinny kid with dreads down to his lower back caught a slant over the middle, and our safety absolutely lit him up and sent his helmet flying. We all went nuts on the sideline, of course. Just automatically, on impact, went “WOOOOO!!! I used to know a kid in my 20s, white dude from this kind of upscale town I went to college in, but he had dreads, he was part of this dub reggae crew of a DJ, then this one band, and all their followers…. seen him freestyle in patois at our bar’s Reggae Night…he was actually legitimately down with the culture and was pretty official. But that town is WILD. I’m a pretty progressive guy, but holy smokes…SJWs on steroids over there. I don't disagree but the travel agencies call Barbados the jewel of the Caribbean it was not me that came up with that. Barbados also misses most of the tropical storms the Bahamas, Jamaica and Haiti get hit with. It's a nice constant 95°F and not too humid. Also few to no sharks to contend with when diving.

I've been to Barbados. "Jewel" my ass! Don't get me wrong , the island is beautiful and interesting, but "jewel" is a stretch, and the people are shitty. It's very sad you don't visit the other islands. I'll never understand people like you, but hey, it's your money. But you're really missing out by not visiting any other islands.

@KostasKouvalis if you read my messages above you'll know I've been to Jamaica and the Bahamas, I've sldo been to St. Vincent and Trinidad, I still prefer Barbados I find the people very friendly and I have a place to stay so it's very inexpensive and if you get to be known by the locals you get treated like a local. There is basically two prices for just about everything in Barbados and most of the islands the tourist price or half of that which is the locals price. It's very inexpensive for me to visit Barbados.
