Would you take travel advise from someone who booked a flight for the wrong month and didn't realize it until they got to the airport?

There's an Indian influencer who has a massive following and did exactly that. She showed up to the airport to check in for her flight and they told her, her flight doesn't depart for another two months and they looked at her like she was crazy. Then she couldn't go on the dates she actually booked and basically ended up losing all the money she spent. Despite all this, people still take travel advise from her.

In Poland we call this kind of person "roztrzepany", that's someone who does things too hastily, doesn't double check anything and doesn't pay attention to their surroundings.

We also call this kind of person "rozrzutny", that's someone who throws away money like it's dirt.

That’s true as well! I’m mostly familiar with the beauty/fashion ones and it gets boring. Ten years ago I loved them because they all had a personality. Now they’re all Kylie Jenner knock offs with the same makeup products same cars same personality not to mention the makeup is chronically sold out at Sephora!!!

Exactly. It's like that with travel vloggers. As soon as one person hypes up a place, others have to follow. And paid promotions make most reluctant to share an honest report. And now having a YouTube isn't enough, you have to have other platforms to go along with it and post regularly.
But I think at this point people are following certain channels for the PERSON, rather than the content/location. People are subscribing to less channels now, because almost everyone is doing the same thing. But new people and small channels need to do something TRULY different to stand out

I always double check when I book because sometimes the website shows the wrong calendar! I'm usually pretty good at noticing when something doesn't seem right.
Anyone can make a mistake, but the fact that she never noticed is a huge red flag.
It was even more surprising how many people made the same mistake

yes, it happen often, it happened to me too so I always check multiple time before buying my ticket i also check which place they gave me, etc... because it's too much of a hassle if something goes wrong.
It really doesn't surprise me, if you knew the amount of people that have one that, they just take everything on impulse and doesn't bother to check anything at all.
Personally I'm ways too stressed to get anythng bad so I check everything multiple time to be sure, it was just a train ticket for me but they're quite expensive when you're broke.

Yeah, when I was in Rome one of the ticket agents sold us the wrong date, even though I told him the date we wanted. I didn't notice 'til we got back to our hotel. So we ended up having to do Pisa right after doing Malta.
But that was the guy who printed the wrong date, though I don't know how I didn't notice right away. I doubt he would change anyways.

Don't even surprise coming from Italian really, they're even worse than the French when it come to paper.
A good joke is that French free healthcare removed my right to free healthcare because for them I cannot prove I've been living in France for the last 6 months, they just did it out of the blue while I send them all the paper they needed to prove to them I have never left France ever in my life, they're crazy.
This is because of a new laws they made that give free healthcare to all foreigner and then for this to work they kick out French citizen.

Yeah, I made a MyTake on my old account about bizarre villages. I included one in Italy that's legally a country because some paperwork got screwed up. Some Italian girl commented, "of course Italy's is a beauracracy screw up"🤣

My favorite was in Poland, when we pre-bought bus tickets with seats and it didn't matter, because everyone bum rushed the bus when it pulled up😂

Yeah, I've read some crazy stories about Poland. Even if you haven't lived in Poland for 30 years, they'll still treat you like a Pole. My dad is still listed as a resident in his village and once we went with my mom as a kid and the guy said I need a Polish passport to enter the country, which is bullshit. He eventually let me in and told my mom to get me a Polish passport. They just do it to be assholes.

The fucked up part is, you can't win with most of them, no matter how hard you try because they have the police on their side.
But sometimes if you see you are recording them, especially when they say a price, they get scared

There was a shoe shiner in Peru who said it would only cost 1 Sol. It was my last day and that's literally all I had. So I got my shoes shined and in the middle he said he wants 20 Sols for using "special polish". I only gave him 1 as it's all I had. He wasn't happy, but he didn't argue because he saw my mom filming him shining my shoes^^

I don't know, but I'll say that her obvious paid promotions for both items and places, some at the most inappropriate times, are only making people annoyed, not getting them to buy the products.
She also got caught promoting some locations as safe for solo travel, while it was so obvious from her footage that she wasn't solo.
The funniest thing is she probably fucked up her date, using the same website she's telling US to use.
Oh, and not to mention the controversy she caused by comparing some marshland in India to Venice. She even pissed off her fellow Indians for promoting other places, and some even told her, hee Venice comment makes Indians look arrogant.
Some people started to see through her bullshit and unfollowed her. I think most people just follow her, 'cuz she's hot.
I was patient with her, but her last Q&A where she used a sincere question from a fan to promote a product, was the last straw for me.
I'm curious how many people actually buy this garbage that these people promote
