No matter how comfortable it is, I never feel completely relaxed, renting an airbnb is better

Mostly, yes. Usually if I can't rest in a hotel it's because of noisy neighbors or street noise. Or if it's too hot. In terms of sleep quality, I really don't see any difference between hotels and appartments/airBnB. Both can have the same issues with noise and heat.

As long as I can fully stretch out my body, and it's quiet and not hot, and there's no bugs, I can sleep anywhere.

Always ask for a room on the highest floors. I remember my Bangkok district was insanely loud on street level, but practically no noise got up to the 14th floor.

I feel just the opposite. Once I hit a bed in the Marriot, I sleep like a log. AirBNB's have given me nightmares -- granted the one I rented was in Bucharest which is a bit creepy to an American.
