Is this real? I feel like my hotel is springy and not immobile?

While vacationing in Hawaii or Tampa, the hotel feels springy like an airplane or cruise ship. I wonder if this is due to disaster building code earth quake mitigation regulations. Like buildings in Taiwan are built over a springy underground base, so if an earth quake happens, the building will shake instead of toppling over. I experienced 10 earth quakes during my vacation there, and one happened while I was dining inside a restaurant. The building began to shake, but nothing fell or toppled over.
