Which countries would you recommend I go to instead of the USA, if I want to visit similar nature to those of the national parks?

France or italy be really good, exchange rate getting worse so maybe get some euros now.

like there's roman bridges around, huge mountains to climb, war monuments... all kinda of cool stuff in an accomodating modern culture.

USA still good to visit if you can turn off the news.

I really don't like history and cater more to nature. I was hoping to find Southwest USA alternatives elsewhere

well, Provance Franc might be your ticket. you can get Roman bridges, swimming... a bike ride up a huge mountain nearby. Not too far of a drive is Marseille beach, although in my view, was over rated and over crowded, but is lovely.
In the right season may find lavender fields... have to be very lucky and who knows what else vineyards and such. Maybe you'll run into a movie star.

Mountains you can find in a lot of places, but if you want to see some geology resembling that of the southwest, Argentina is probably the only other feasable place

Australia and New Zealand. I wouldn't visit America either. They like arresting tourists at the airport for no reason.
