Is LEBANON a safe country?

I was invited by a friend who will soon start working there.

Of course, I would love to visit Banksy's “Walled Off Hotel” in Bethlehem. However, it would take several hours to get there, which is hardly possible on a weekend.

Should I rather not travel there?

It's safe and unsafe at the same time, some regions are safe and some aren't, especially in the south of the country, plus there are regions where they can see you different from your behavior and outfits, they give you this uncomfortable stare... etc

PLUS, you can't travel from Lebanon to bethlehem cause it's Located in Israel, the lebanese government considers Israel as an enemy, so there's no relations between the two countries, which means you can't travel there from Lebanon!

I have a rule when it comes to travel... I check what airlines fly there. If large mainstream western airlines fly there ( like United, Air Canada or British Airways) then you are probably fine to travel. Airlines are very good at risk management. But if only Air Lebanon or Air Hamas fly there maybe stay away...

Isn’t there a terrorist group based out of Lebanon that gets bombed by the U. S. and Israel once in a while? Plus, I think Bethlehem’s in Israel. I’d visit Israel instead. Lebanon sounds unsafe.

If something is gonna happen there like the last war incident you will get notified by your embassy to leave the country before anything happens 👍🏻
