Is Iran a safe country to visit?

I want to get rhinoplasty in Tehran, Iran due to the price being very affordable (almost half the price of Turkey).

I have had contact with a persian friend who lives there and he said its safe for the most part as a tourist but I don't know. What do you think?

I think your countries have bad relations right now, but as long as you don't do anything to piss off the regime, you will be fine. Regular Iranian people for the most part are generally harmless, and Iran is one of the safest countries on earth.

i have iranian friends. they say it's safe there for tourists. people are nice. but it sucks a bit if you live and work there, cause the politics is completely fucking people. specially women.
