It's heartbreaking but true. Austinites ARE TEXANS. They love Texas. They are the heart of Texas but have always been different when iT comes to guns and civil liberties. They believe in Texas so much but in a way that doesn't involve guns or shooting black people.
San Antonio is also different from Dallas and the rest of Texas. They love each other and ignore the rest of the state that is a big state the size of France.
I'm afraid that Trump's election has emboldened hate and marginalized the people. I'm honestly afraid this was a response to that. San Antonio is a peaceful loving city. When I learned of the killing I thought Trump. These people simply don't act this way. They don't.

There's been study after study of how the cops prey on black Americans, like how they're 4x more likely to be arrested for using drugs at the same rate as whites, disproportionately likely to be pulled over, disproportionately stopped and frisked, disproportionately killed by police.
