This section of the website is for writing about your views on a topic. You don't need to ask any question. There is another part of the site for asking questions and taking polls. In this section, you write something about you views and people can post their comments. There is a topic, but there doesn't have to be a question.
When you express your opinion on something, do you need to ask a question? Or can you just make a statement? Example:
If you say "I think Friday is the best day of the week because I get paid on Friday and I don't have to work over the weekend." That's a take on something. It doesn't involve a question.
So I might respond to that with a comment like. "I prefer Monday because I love my job and can't wait to get to the office."
You are expressing your take on what day of the week is the best, and I am responding with a comment on the same topic.
No questions involved. That's how the concept works. It's a simple concept isn't it?
I don't understand how it is "hard to see how to take things." I feel like you are trying to make a point, but I have no idea what it is.
I stopped reading after this, "Express your support and sympathy for journalists attacked by social-media trolls, especially women in journalism, so often the preferred targets." There has been so much fake news on both sides that should be called out.

That's cool but what's the question?
Question? What question? This isn't a question it's a myTake.
@MementoMori_
Well you didn't take to asking a question.

Hard to see how to take things when no question is involved but okay. It's however.

Asking and answering is easier. You ask something, I can directly reply exactly to what's asked.
OK, so here comes the question:
What is your opinion about what I wrote?
You're right. Transforming things for the worse!.
Examples?
