The Travel Ban Defeated Once More

The temporary ban was supposed to be applied to the people from Iran, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. So SOME of the Muslim countries...certainly not all (the richer ones - coincidence?).

The trick with this, of course, was ONLY to not call it a 'ban' ever again.

But hey, guess what the president did?

Yup, you guessed it... He called it a ban.

Spicer is certain that the ban (which, according to him is not a ban) will be accepted by the Supreme Courts in the end.

It occurs to people watching all this that maybe he doesn't want this thing to pass - since he deliberately sabotaged himself.

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.
