I Remove People For Having Opposing Opinions

I delete people for having opposing opinions. I don’t mean “pineapple goes/doesn’t go on pizza”. I mean “all lives matter” or “trump is a good president”.

I will not continue friendships or contact with people who support any kind of oppression. Whether it be race, sexuality, gender, wtf ever. I am going to continue to delete people who believe that Trump should build a wall, or that black lives matter is BS, or that takeaknee is disrespect.

We are allowed to protest as it is our right. We are allowed to criticize or disagree with the president as This is not a Tyranny.

I will continue to support POC and anything else when it comes to protests (within limits) because I will not just pretend these political issues don’t affect other people. I may not be personally affected as a white girl (even though I’m not straight) but the issues are there and I see them.

I will continue to voice my opinion, giving POC a voice when they are ignored. If a POC disagrees or protests, it is complained about. When white people follow suite, it’s EVERYWHERE. Don’t even get me started on white privilege.

I don’t care who you are or how old you are. Go ahead and disagree with me. Be racist, homophobia, wtf ever. I can’t change your mind. But I will change my relationship with you to non existent. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with the fact everyone has a right to protest (as long as there's no violence involved), but I 100% disagree with your ways of dealing with opposing opinions.
You are doing that of which you complain about: oppression.

There's nothing more fascist and oppressive than remove someone's opinion/voice because it's different than yours. As long as they aren't supporting violence, they should have a right to give their opinion as much as you have a right to protest.
Yes, I don't like it when I hear homophobic comments. As someone with gay family members and who lives in an area recognized worldwide as one of the best gay friendly areas in the world, it does bother me to hear people be homophobic, but as long as they're just saying words and not attacking them, I can't stop them. They have a right to say what they believe in.

You can't just stop people that have a different opinion, that's oppression, and that's gonna bring you lots of difficulties in life.

I get that urge... and I get the feeling like that's the only way to get rid of some of the negative vibes on the internet... but letting them speak and just ignoring idiotic, uneducated comments is the best way, I think.

I've had people block me because they didn't like the absolute, factual truth without any subjective feeling...
I've had people block me because they were scared of my comeback - being something they can't counter...

I think the strongest point you can make is letting them make fools of themselves and you ignoring them.

Of course, give them a chance, but if someone proves so bigoted, xenophobic, racist, sexist or whatever, and you see they don't want reason, they only want to spew lies (they don't bother to fact-check) and unkindness, by all means, block them. I did, and I don't regret it.

White privilege isn't a thing other than a convenient reason for some people to rationalize why they don't have what someone else has and at times a means of mental gymnastics to take away something someone else earned. Racism is a real thing that is actually pretty easy to identify when you use the right methods.

Gender dysphoria is a spectrum of very real medical issues that one day when we learn to set aside all of the emotion we will look back on sex change treatments and today's enabling of these issues as barbaric and inhumane much like we think about eugenics today.

Gay couples should not have a right to force Christian bakers to use their artistic talents to support their marriage ceremonies any more than the KKK should have the right to force a black chef to provide baked goods for a fund raiser.

BLM is a sham and does more to harm blacks than it helps because they don't actually believe that black lives matter. They believe that identity politics are the answer to their perceived woes which is why they don't really focus on making black lives better through actual policy making.

I disagree with the football players and think they should protest on their own time but I think Trumps speech on firing these players is worse. I wish they'd both shut up and just do what they are paid to do. And then the players can do what they want on their own free time.

Abortion is murder for the sake of convenience and as a result of making shitty life decisions 98.5% of the time.

Anyone that blocks me because they disagree with me is not acting righteously, they just fear having direct and open conversations and don't wish to have discourse. They only want to shut down conversation because in their own head their view is the only possible correct way and anyone else must be morally compromised. Ergo I don't respect people that choose to levy claims of moral superiority based on a set of simple virtue signals.

I do not block anyone except those people that choose to threaten me or say inappropriately sexual things because I'm willing to at least listen to differing points of views, nor am I willing to ascribe moral superiority based on a few sentences because once that is done no further discussion can be had by anyone. That is where the democrats are going wrong and also why they can gain no foothold against one of the most inept republican owned majorities in history. Because they have assigned the mantle of moral bankruptcy to anyone that fails to agree.

I can agree to disagree with anyone because that is how you learn and grow as a person. If I disagree with person A, blocking them isn't going to solve or make any progress because I wouldn't be able to see that person's POV and understand their perspective. How can I get them to see my POV and understand where I'm coming from if there is no dialog or conversation?
If people really want to make the world better, blocking and silencing views is going to continue to divide everyone. No one wants to listen and understand each others perspectives and come to a compromise.

Think about this logically. How can you convince a "Trump supporter" that the WALL is a bad idea when you now have eliminated all forms of communications? What you are doing is regressive and not progressive, so you actually accomplish nothing and everyone continues to hate one another.

I don't think that's reasonable. If you do it just because it's a personal preference thing because you don't want to deal with it at all then that's fine. But I don't think it's reasonable to represent opposing views by simply blocking everyone. Furthermore, if holding opposing opinions constitutes being disrespectful then were does it end? You're excluding people for wrongthink, it only creates echo chambers -- mostly for your own ideas but also for your opponent's. If an opposing idea isn't addressed it finds other ways to manifest itself, people feel like they're being repressed and that's how pressure builds and things get heated and/or perverted.

Discussing openly is how you defuse bad ideas, not by ignoring them. Befriend your opponents, put human faces on the things they are against. Like if you want someone to stop being homophobic the best way to do that is for them to learn that someone they know is gay and realize that they're normal people too.

Differing opinions are what allows us to expand our own view points and grow as people. I want disagreements, I want discussions.
Life will put you in contact with a wide variety of people, and you won't agree with all of them. Frankly I'd see it as very immature to cut off anyone you don't like, that's not how life works. Comprise is necessary in all aspects of life.

There is a difference between an argument and a personal attack. Personal growth comes from learning to deal with people, like them or not. Reality doesn't allow the luxury of cutting off everyone we disagree with.

I talk to people all the time that think I'll burn in hell for the things I do, they're entitled to their delusions, doesn't bother me.
