After lifetimes of not being able to...women of Saudi Arabia finally get to drive!

Congratulations to women of Saudi Arabia!

Saudi officials say : "Lifting the restrictions is part of a larger economic reform effort."

Hopefully this leads the way to a more equal existence for women in the Arab world!

It's nice that Saudi women are being given permission to have driver's licenses, but the bigger question is, will their husbands, fathers, brothers, whoever, still ALLOW them to drive? Considering the vehicles are probably still owned by men, and considering that a Saudi man can still say 'No' to a woman, it all might be a moot point.
