... To start with that is not how most Muslims are. Considering I personally know quite a few Muslims including young women who was born and raised in Saudi Arabia I can tell you they live considerably normal lives. Sure there are distinct differences such as women not being allowed to drive in their home countries (dont stop them when they travel abroad though) or religious activities. But as a core they are just average people who would not jump on the opportunity to rape someone and in fact abhor those who do.

The problem really comes down to the few places where the culture truly sucks. Many places in Egypt for example are horrible for women although mostly in a sexual harassment way. Anyway its impossible to go into detail since every tribe has its own culture in the middle east and the treatment of women varies widely from location to location especially in places with social/military unrest.
