He is completely unescapable, tv, car radios, supermarkets, subway stations, city centres, buskers, game of thrones, every single day of every week of every month, year after year after fucking year of Ed Sheeran and his fucking guitar, his face is plastered on almost every billboard of every block of every city, people praise him like he's the best thing since anything ever, "I love his music so much! Ed is such a lovely guy! He's such a sweet soft little teddy bear!"

How many more years of this bullshit do we have to be subjected to before people get tired of it? Please god have mercy, enough already!!!

Meh, I have heard the name a few times and saw him in that pointless cameo in GoT, but I couldn't point out a single song or music video if his. I have never heard him sing and have not had him shoved in my face as the original question implies... But I do get what you're saying. There will always be someone or something hyped up and played to death until the next fad comes along.

So even if he dropped off the face of the earth tomorrow, there will just be something else to take his place. Same sh*t, different smell.

Ok this is a true story: one day I was driving and changing through radio stations because every channel happened to be playing an ed Sheeran song.

So I finally got to one which was playing commercials. So after the commercials they come back and it's just the radio DJ's talking and then they announce a very specs guest: Ed Sheeran

Thank god there are still some girls out there who don't like that type of music, every girl I know is obsessed with him and they scream in excitement every time one of his songs come on and start singing along to it whilst completely butchering the lyrics lol, it's so obvious many people only want to like what is popular

I wish people had some personality instead of conveniently liking everything in the mainstream and sought out alternative artists. Everything is so commercialized in the mainstream that it literally loses its soul and humanity in my opinion.

On the flip side, there is plenty of pop sounding music that is very likable and has no reason not to be on the radio, selling millions of records, but because it isn't "fun" and "commercial" according to some idiots somewhere, or it's too far outside of the same 4-chord, 125 bpm, verse chorus verse chorus, pop formula with basic beats and lyrics, it's not "good enough" or something.

Lame... there is so much unrecognized talent out there and bands and artists that should be selling out arenas across the globe and instead it is some generic pop star that does absolutely nothing new. Sorry but I get heated about music okay? xD
