If you agree to participate in a consensual business transaction, you follow through with it. If she had informed him of her preference in partner, and he had said no before a deal was struck, I would have no problem. But to forcibly eject someone you have taken money from, and agreed to transport is wrong.
@LovelyComputerVirus Majority of people are uncomfortable by it so I don't see why they would do it. In my high school one lesbian couple did it and 99 % of people were disgusted by it and the school security told them not to do it again.
Because it’s a school and like 5 years ago. Gay marriage is legal now. If a straight person can do it, so can a gay person. You going to say that black people can't kiss either because it’s “disgusting”? Bigots.
@LovelyComputerVirus That was 2 years ago... I'm only 19. And it was outside of school (just in front but still not inside). There's no Black person where I live so
Okay I can understand that he might be uncomfortable with that if they were like making out.. But thing is they weren't. It was just a quick kiss and yet.. If it was a guy and girl.. Would we have seen the same thing? The same reaction? Obviously not.
Uber has the rule "every taxi driver has got his own rules of transportation". He can drop any passengers behaving wrong in his opinion. That's in uber rules, if you use uber, you automatically accept the rules.
I hope he gets fired. He works at a business that is non-discriminatory. That’s like if a gas station attendant said you couldn’t buy gas because you’re black. It’s f***ing sick. In 75 years people will look back on this the same way most people look back on Jim Crow laws.
The issue with this that a lot of people are not bringing up is that they already PAID. I'm sure no rules were laid out to the women telling them that they could not kiss in the back seat. So him pulling over and telling them to get out is total BS. If they were issued a refund it would be perhaps a bit more understandable as it's his car and against his beliefs, but he still needs to follow under Uber's policy when on the clock. If he can't do that, he needs to find a different job.
He kicked them out of the car without taking them to their location, which they paid for. That's like going to the grocery store, and they only give you a certain amount of your groceries that you bought.
If you can't deal with two women kissing, you probably shouldn't take a job as an Uber driver. You have to have a certain level of tolerance for other lifestyles when you take a job that involves dealing with the general public.
If they were hooking up in his car, I agree with the driver. If he freaked out over a kiss, I'm with the lesbians.

Good for him. He has a right to refuse to drive them if they make him uncomfortable for ANY reason. I love how they thought they were going film him, get him fired and ruin his life. They weren't adult enough to handle this on their own, so they had to report him to the internet. That makes me sympathize with them even less.
Yeah he has a right to refuse but if he knew that he would be offended by or be uncomfortable with girls kissing he shouldn't have become an Uber in the first place
They threatened to call the cops, report him and get him fired because he wouldn't let them make out in his car. GTFO with your entitled asses. Thank God the age of outrage has finally shit the bed and no one cares about bullshit like this anymore.
I'm not saying they should have kissed but it isn't that big of a deal it just seemed like an overreaction from him and he could have been more mature about it same with them
@SylvaMania Its not a big deal to YOU. You don't know what he's had to deal with on that job. Uber drives get assaulted, harassed, and disrespected like you wouldn't believe. Props to him for setting limits. His car is not their fucking hotel room. If they don't like it, they can get another car. He should have refunded their money though. That's where he's wrong.
If they were full on making out then yeah but if it really was just a peck then making them get out just seems like an overreaction for no reason. But obviously we can't be sure either side is 100% telling the truth or what he had already gone through that day, and of course it's my opinion, I'm not saying anyone has to agree with me. I do think he should have at least refunded them like you said though.
And he didn't make it any better by saying it was illegal, that just makes him look ignorant and uneducated because they clearly weren't breaking the law in any way. What he likes and doesn't like does not dictate what is legal
Ehhh if a bakery can refuse service to gay men for doing nothing in public but just wanting to purchase a cake then a driver can tell lesbian wannabes to get out his car for kissing each other
@LovelyComputerVirus Well its his car lol and he can do what he wants with his car The country is suppose to have a no discrimination policy which should apply to private businesses of course
@LovelyComputerVirus Thats a double standard, honey One person can refuse service to homos for doing nothing but walking in and the other can't kick lesbians for kissing in his car?
Ya it doesn't matter what the law says. You can't allow one and not the other
Dont forget. Slavery was once legal. The law doesn't mean its morally justified Honey
If the driver was, in example, a muslim, its his freedom of religion to not deal with lgbt-people. Give him a bad rating and move on, its not illegal to deny service on an uber. Get a legal cab, if that bothers you.
Wow. I don't know who of them is the most unpleasant one...
To be honest though, unless I missed something I think it might be more about the PDA rather than the fact they're lesbian.
That's just an assumption, but while it's not illegal I can definitely understand that not everyone wants to see it.
Whatever the reason, the driver shouldn't have kicked them out for that. Then again, we don't know what else happened, they both seem quite unpleasant too.
He overreacted, while I'm not a fan of PDA it's not like those girls where fully groping each other and having sex, it's just a a quick peck. Anyway i think a lot of people don't understand that this dude works for Uber which means he had to sign a contract and he violated those rules. kissing is not illegal so I don't know where he got that from.
May have been his choice as they were in his car, but, love is love no matter the gender, same for gays, straights, and lesbians, and all the other genders.
If they love each other, then in my opinion there's no difference from a straight couple kissing
From experience, people that are prompt to take out their phone for filming always did something bad but want to play the victim. This whole filming habit is the adult version of the kid that whispers rude things in the ear of his comrade and then plays the victim when the other one loses his temper. 100% with the driver until proven guilty.
I don't support it nor Lbgt, but I don't think I would not drive them to their destination just because of that. I would just pray for them, since it's just a sin as any other sin.

He can do it. Absolutely his car, he can do whatever he wants. No one can do anything about it.
Uber can released him and terminate him if they so choose.
Everyone is free and can follow their own conscience. The guy and uber.
Who would want to see people making out in their car seriously? They have no respect for the driver. it's something mean to be keep private.
Read it. They did a quick kiss. A peck. Straight people are allowed to do it, but not lesbians?

It was just a small kiss apparently. Not a make out session.
Okay I can understand that he might be uncomfortable with that if they were like making out..

I don't like PDA, but his reaction was dumb as fuck. I hope they sue him.
You are right
Noooo
Fuck off Saitama
They have no grounds to sue

they can easily cancel the transaction at any point.
There is a uber youtuber whos had this done to him
Still fucked up.

@SylvaMania Or they could observe a baseline of etiquette and not assume that the backseat of his car is an appropriate place to make out.
I'm not saying they should have kissed but it isn't that big of a deal it just seemed like an overreaction from him and he could have been more mature about it same with them

Just saying lol
It was the baker’s own business. The driver worked for Uber and they have a no discrimination policy.
@LovelyComputerVirus
Well its his car lol and he can do what he wants with his car
The country is suppose to have a no discrimination policy which should apply to private businesses
of course
Uber should respect its his car like the courts respected its his bakery
Same idea
Oh honey... That’s not how any of this works...
@LovelyComputerVirus

It's his car so deal. with it , he had a right to follow his beliefs , he doesn't approve of lesbians so get the fuck out of his car
