life should be normalized with vaccine. I miss going out with my friends and eat out and theatre. I also want to see my family in Korea. I am worried about small businesses too. They don't deserve this.
Vaccines usually take 10 years to test, this one took 10 months. It's not very difficult to connect the dots and see that it hasn't been tested enough. Putting everyone into the antivaxxer label is stupid and the label becomes meaningless. There's a reason why meds are tested for so long, and on a lot of different people. Are you denying the fact that modern medicine isn't infallible, there are plenty of examples of medicine being marketed everywhere for the sake of profits, people eating it up, and resulting in thousands of horrific conditions. How many people suffered because of rushed AIDS vaccines? Does thalidomide ring a bell? Science isn't just taking whatever some glorified salesman tell you to take, it includes years of research and development, something that is lacking in this case.
I've heard this non argument right around a thousand times. This boils down to - the formula for a drug is changed, therefore there really fucking should be an extensive test to see if there are any unintended consequences and side effects that can't always be predicted. How is it antivax to not wanna take an untested drug that was rushed, especially when the sole motivation for it is cash? Are you really so naïve that you believe that these mega corporations rushed out this untested vaccine as soon as possible to help people rather than get billions of dollars selling it?
I don't trust fucking Alex Jones, stop painting this as a dichotomy. The method is 50 years old, the specific vaccine formula being used is not. It's been neither thoroughly tested or made for the right reasons. I just can't trust billionaire monopolies, how the hell is that a conspiracy theory? 'Science' isn't just blind faith in a huge nebulous company, you know.
The thing is, the vaccines are free to the public. You make it sound like you are personally being robbed. It costs you nothing, dude. Furthermore, the quicker we get vaccinated, the faster the entire economy can open back up. I honestly don't care if dumb people have covid consequences for being stubborn and dumb but I do care about things going back to normal. :)
'Free to the public' is a roundabout way of saying that the government payed for them, which is a roundabout way of saying that everyone payed for them. Taxation is by definition robbery. I can't imagine thinking that people who don't want untested meds are stubborn and dumb. As if it would be the first time that modern medicine would fail miserably.
I'm refusing, not necessarily because I'm convinced that the vaccine is dangerous for certain, but because whatever the chances are of having an adverse reaction to the vaccine, it is certainly higher than my chances of dying from covid as a healthy 20 year old (which is basically zero).
Your chances of having a bad reaction to a covid vaccine are like 1000x smaller than having a bad reaction to COVID. For serious. Just because you probably won't die of COVID doesn't mean it can't do damage.
Not since I'm only 20. That has a huge impact on the severity of Covid. Plus the vaccine is a complete and total unknown given how long it has been around. Maybe I'll get it after a year or two.
But besides, why do you care so much whether I get it or not? Why does it bother you as much as it clearly does? That tells me something else is at play here than just a stoic observation of the data.
Because I feel sad for your poor, poor family. People like yourself are responsible for the deaths of so many people. My friend was just telling me of a lady at his church who died at age 53 because her daughter brought covid home :( So sad
Maybe, just maybe you would've be right if there was no vaccine, but there is one, and that changes everything. I'm not endangering my family, or anyone else around me, unless they also made the conscious decision not to get the vaccine because they are comfortable with the risk it carries.
I work in a huge place where I interact with thousands of people on the daily and also haven't contracted it yet 🙂 I like your aura for some reason.. So I hope you'll stay safe
i say no because I've been hearing rumors and story's that it kills people the rumor is 57% of the people who get vaccinated died after the vaccine but there no proof its because of the vaccine
I refuse to get the shot. They didn't test it enough to see what the long term effects were. Pfizer apparently causes long term neurological diseases. Johnson and Johnson causes blood clots. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't sinerio
E. Our pastor's daughter had the virus. He is around her all the time. No COVID. He attends to the congregation, a few of which had it. No COVID. He gets shot #1 of 2. Next day, he gets COVID! PLpus, the ONLY time I git the flu was right after a flu shot. No thanks!
My friend who is a pastor just conducted the funeral of a 53yo lady from his church who died of covid. NO VACCINATION. She was being as careful as she could be but her daughter brought it home because she was also NOT VACCINATED. Now the daughter has to live with the fact that she killed her mom. :(
Not American so we don't really have the biggest stock, so I'd prefer if people in need take them first, also I'm young enough to easily endure it, and ye it was actually rushed so I'm no trusting it, so atm I prefer not taking it.
Also, i know that herd immunity can be achieved through vaccine AND resistance through antibodies that one develops after having the disease. They are both equal in quality and since it's extremely unlikely for me to have a severe case l, much less to die. So I'm consciously deciding for the risk of getting the disease. Of course I'm gonna socially distance myself if i end up getting, untill I'm back to health.
Even though J&J had a minor issue with a handful of women, there is still a better chance of being struck by lightning than having a bad reaction to that particular vaccine. Furthermore, there are other vaccine options that haven't had the J&J issue. Moderna and Pfizer have been problem-free. :)

It's better than not having any immune help against COVID , also it will lower the chances of my family getting infected.
life should be normalized with vaccine. I miss going out with my friends and eat out and theatre. I also want to see my family in Korea. I am worried about small businesses too. They don't deserve this.
I'm not an antivaxxer, I just don't want to be a Guinea pig for some of the biggest companies on Earth, for a virus that I'm gonna live trough anyway.
You might be an anti-vaxxer, dude. Your logic isn't sound.

Do you feel like learning some things today? You owe it to yourself. Knowledge is power!

You have to decide what to trust I guess. I trust in half a century worth of science. You trust Alex Jones. To each their own! :)

Obviously we don't want to get sick ourselves, plus we need to be part of the herd immunity.
I'm sure I speak for most in saying that I want this over so we can return to normal life.
The vaccine doesn't guarantee immunity or that people can't transmit it after vaccination.
@Dragon_Rises I'm aware of that but it does increase resistance, & if one does contract COVID being vaccinated reduces the duration & severity.
I voted a but it’s not fully I trust science.
I trust science more than my body 😂. I need all the help I can get! Also I’m U. K. so trump and Biden are irrelevant to me.
Got mine my last dose of Pfizer was feb 9th and I can’t wait til enough people get vaxxed so we can get back to a sense of normalcy

Im in no Rush. Neither are my folks.
not comfortable with it 😬
I hope you never get covid
@have_a_good_day it’s Crazy cause I work in a tiny ass store. And it’s impossible to Social distance. And i haven’t xD.
Haha so Thankyou!
I work in a huge place where I interact with thousands of people on the daily and also haven't contracted it yet 🙂
I like your aura for some reason.. So I hope you'll stay safe
@have_a_good_day guess we are very lucky!
And Thankyou that’s Very kind of you to say! 🤓
i say no because I've been hearing rumors and story's that it kills people the rumor is 57% of the people who get vaccinated died after the vaccine but there no proof its because of the vaccine
If you believe these rumors - you're going to grow up to be as stupid as the ones spreading them. Please don't.
@DiscomfortZone I don't believe them but it has been on the news and my parents are talking about so I say its better safe then sorry
@DiscomfortZone He's 14, chill.
Yep, 14 and there's still hope for him. Any vaccine PROVEN to be even a BIT dangerlus has been redacted by governments immidiately.
I refuse to get the shot. They didn't test it enough to see what the long term effects were. Pfizer apparently causes long term neurological diseases. Johnson and Johnson causes blood clots. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't sinerio
I'm not getting vaccinated. Not because of some weird, wonky, spacey reason... I just don't feel like it 🤷♀️
I don't feel like I need it.

It is entirely possible that the daughter could have had the SARS- asymptomatically AND with the vaccine- and yet still be able to transmit to others.
Talking because it will get us faster to going towards the new normal
Just waiting on my first vaccine when it comes avilable
science created my iphone. I trust it to create a vaccine.
I’m gonna try to get my vaccine shot May 5 Cinco de Mayo at Publix supermarket here in Miami Florida
Not American so we don't really have the biggest stock, so I'd prefer if people in need take them first, also I'm young enough to easily endure it, and ye it was actually rushed so I'm no trusting it, so atm I prefer not taking it.
Im refusing it, cause my personal risk benefit analysis for that particular vaccine results very little benefit and unknown potential for risk.
Also, i know that herd immunity can be achieved through vaccine AND resistance through antibodies that one develops after having the disease. already got both doses to protect myself and others!
I want take it but with all the problems with the Johnson & Johnson I'm just wondering?
Even though J&J had a minor issue with a handful of women, there is still a better chance of being struck by lightning than having a bad reaction to that particular vaccine. Furthermore, there are other vaccine options that haven't had the J&J issue. Moderna and Pfizer have been problem-free. :)
@supercutebutt Thanks for sharing that with me :)
