If that was an "insurrection," then it had to be the dumbest and least effective insurrection in history. Although I 100% agree that it SHOULD have been an insurrection, and armed one, at that. Not because I think Trump rightfully won or just wanted to support him, but because it's FUCKING OBVIOUS there was open election fraud going on! And it should've been bipartisan; both sides should be against election fraud and fucking over the American people like they did on Election Day.

Calling 6 Jan 2021 an insurrection is a stretch, and done for the shock effect. If it was truly an insurrection, it failed miserably. It was actually a mostly peaceful protest that a minority caused to get out of hand.
I was not an insurrection and if there was a trial everything will have to come out, all the videos which they are stonewalling and the testimony from that fed that was outside trying to incite a riot.
Merick Garland is a member of the right wing federalist society and is thus unlikely to seriously prosecute his own people.

Insurrection and treason are more a title than a legal code. And probably easier to prosecute breaking and entering, beating cops half to death.

Because the law is insufficient for that? Here in the Netherlands, preventing the decision-making of anyone in the parliament, senate or cabinet in itself counts as insurrection and lands you 30 years to life in jail.
I was a little disappointed it didn't turn out to be one of those 'fiery but mostly peaceful' protests.
