25% of the world's grain is produced in Russia and Ukraine. The proce of fuel has gone up meaning producing food is more expensive, expense which gets passed on to consumers.
Shortages are a good time for big business to make bigger profits, supply and demand.
"trunews" is 100% bullshit. Ukraine was a huge grain exporter. Now that supply is off the market. A contraction in supply always leads to price increases.
