the kid that did the shooting is to blame. Funny how that was not even a choice. Don't make excused for the little maggot. He is in hell roasting on the end of a pitchfork.
oF COURSE HE IS TO BLAME directly but why he acted the way he acted. if h e was sane and not have mental issues do you think he would have done what he did? I doubt it.
Nobody wants to take responsibility for their own actions. It is easier to blame somebody else. It is the government's fault or it is because America is racist. Biden blames everything on Trump and whatever he can't blame on Trump he blames on Putin. People are born with free will and if they perform some horrific crime it it 100% their fault.
I notice you don't have as an option, "Easy access to dangerous firearms". That's actually the answer you've been looking for, but of course people like you prefer to live in denial.
1) You will never stop crimes. These things will always happen as long as people have free will. 2) It’s multiple issues. But the main problem are single parent upbringing without a proper father figure. Raise children right at home will prevent them from becoming criminals and possibly prevent mental illness.
Exactly but many people thing mental health is not an issue or bad parenting either. I do believe it has something to do wit it. The wya you raise your kids the values you teach them since early on, and teach them the right from wrong, could make a boy or a girl knowing what is good or what is bad. I mean the education start from home and also education at school is also a good guide.
They're unanimously bullied kids and incels. Yeah, their actions aren't justified, but are you surprised? Especially when low iq people act as if the people that bullied the kids aren't to blame, or the fact that he couldnt get sex isn't to blame as well. If we had legal prostitution and we prevented bullying this wouldn't happen. Most people are dumb though so they just blame guns.
It isn't guns or anything else, the fault is entirely with the person who pulled the trigger. Their happiness and their mental health is their personal responsibility, nobody is going to be their hero they have to be their own hero.
none of the above. it's the media's fault for sensationalizing the buffalo shooter thus causing copycat crimes as desperate people seek fame in similar ways. that's why shootings tend to go around one another. I made a mytake on it The Media Contagion Effect: how the media causes mass shootings ↗
The 18 year old kid is responsible for the shooting and all of the deaths. Not the gun nor his mother or father or anyone/anything else. If he had not had a gun he would have found some other way to do what he did. Do not give him an excuse for what he did.
The main problem is that it became a trend. If someone has severe psychological issues they just think "Oh lets go on a rampage, so many already did it, so why not me". The more people do it, the more others get encouraged to do it too. There was a study once made about this phenomenon, but about suicides. Once at leasy 2 people did it, Its spreading like a virus and becomes a trend.
@bingbongbangbung I remember there was once a similar case but with suicides. They spread like wild fire and more and more people in that distinct area felt the need for suicide and dit it
I'd say pharmaceutical companies. I garuntee after a thorough investigation they're going to find out this kid was doped up to the eyeballs on saratonin uptake inhibitors. Which is known to cause psychotic breaks and should never be given to kids and teenagers
The person to blame is the shooter he along bought the weapons he could just have bought them on the backstreet market, so it doesn't matter legal or not would have got them he was a spoiled brat that didn't get his way so had a temper tantrum and took it out on a school. The problem is that people don't take responsibility for what they do its always someone else's fault

NONE of you should be giving your opinion on the subject matter. This what happens when you let every peon have an opinion on "whatever"You get idiotic & distorted opinions on a topic they have no experience inAs someone who IS both fatherless & motherless & has been ostricized by society since I was around 12 (I'm 23) I can definitely give you a better scope on the matterI blame the "system" Message me if you're down to hold a discussion

In a nutshell, the answer is Hate. Hate has been growing and festering in the US for years and unfortunately it is fostered on both sides by politicians who use it as a political tool to divide us.
You can see it here on GAG every day, especially from certain users, both liberals and conservatives. You can see some of the usual idiots right here in this question blaming everything on one side or the other. None of them are smart enough to see that they themselves are the problem.
Because other countries have tough gun control laws. USA basically has none. And now we have something like 400 million guns in circulation. It's a nightmare that was totally predictable.
All other countries have people in them and some of those people have mental illness just like in the US. Yet, USA is the only country with regularly occurring mass shootings.
So let me put this out there then if I walk into a room with a semi auto gun. Put a full clip of ammo in it and put one shell in the chamber and laid it on a table is that gun going to jump off the table and shoot someone in that room without me touching it? I don’t think so. So if you think it’s the guns fault at the school shooting then your wrong! it is the piece of shit person that is operating the gun. Guns is not the reason for the shootings is the person operating the gun is the issue.
@UncleKracker96 So other countries have no "pieces of shit" people in them? Your argument is poor. Tell us why the US, with 400 million guns in circulation, is the only country with this problem if it's NOT about guns.
It's everything but it can be helped by a very simple thing. Gun control. But no they would rather force women to give birth so their babies can be killed in school or a supermarket instead 🤪
Blame the extremist republicans 🤣 most of the shootings have been to target minorities. I have noticed that it is in red states where massive shootings occur. in this case I do believe it was a mental issue, teens are usually prone to it more these days. Then it's also easy to get guns in Texas. I think the age limit should be 25 and take mental evaluation. Prey for the children and families. 🙏
The 18-year old who shot his grandmother and then went to the school and shot 19 students and 2 teachers is to blame. Let's not randomly blame others for the evil actions of a single individual.
Its many factors. I believe gun control is the real problem and the media turns these shooting into celebrities. They never show how often firearms are used to save lives.
94% of mass shootings happen in gun free zones
1.6 million lives are saves each year with the use of firearms.

mental health help not being free, people treating other people like shit which causes more issues which can end badly, no mental health checks before purchasing guns or any weapons, no really good security, there's a lot to blame...

that's literally an option
@Joker_ I said easy access to guns
Damn, I somehow missed it there at the bottom. Well, that's my choice then.
Are you going to apologize to OP for your insulting, condescending language?
@OldWorldOrder What insulting, condescending language?
there's legitimately so much in the way that you write that comes off as shitty
@Joker_ Really? Like what? How?

That's stupid, other people absolutely effect your mental health. We're social animals
I was bullied for all my youth for being autistic but I never pulled a trigger on anyone.
Juxtapose, I'm not justifying them murdering. Get that through your skull, it still enables prople
Apathetic, wrist wringers like you are to blame.
You get all high horse and noisy when these events happen. But will do squat to help these kids if they were to darken your door for help prior.

USA is the only country with this problem. So anyone with a functioning brain can see that the problem is guns.
Why USA and not only other world countries?
Because other countries have tough gun control laws. USA basically has none. And now we have something like 400 million guns in circulation. It's a nightmare that was totally predictable.
All other countries have people in them and some of those people have mental illness just like in the US. Yet, USA is the only country with regularly occurring mass shootings.

If we take the criminals off the street and run strict background checks on people who purchase guns then it would cut down the crime rate in America
@UncleKracker96 Well at least you are for background checks. Fuckheads like Ted Cruz and his asshole buddies are against common sense gun laws.

Totally agree.
Y’all really need to start getting away from TV (tell-your-vision)

Except... people with mental probelms don't always realise they have them...
