I support the transgender community, but I understand where the Olympics are coming from by not allowing trans women to compete in Olympic sport. Thoughts?

So you no doubt of heard on the news about them not allowing a transgender woman compete in the women's olympic.

They said if they changed and had surgery as young as 12 then it would of been fine for later on in life but if It happened in the more adult years then no.

I understand because it gives the other women an unfair disadvantage because of the transgender woman still has the physical attributes inside as a man and may win them.

Now say they did let her and any other trans woman applying for the olympics in after everything, if they won then there would be a debate amongst the competitors trainers the Olympic watchers the judges if this was fair.

Because even though she may look and feel like a woman, the physical parts and structure inside is different.

Even though it's may seem embarrassing to them they could do a trans Olympic section for trans men and women in a unisex tournament or they stick with the the gender side they were before the op even if they are different now.

Now I'm sure there going to be complaint at me so let's have it then or your opinion on this...

If I was a tennis player, been playing since I was 5, had the best personal coaches 4 days a week, a nutritionist, and a chef so I know I'm eating everything right. Rich parents so I don't have to ever worry about work getting in the way of my sport. Then I have an extreme advantage over the average player. Advantages in sports are common and unavoidable. If we banned people because of their advantages then we wouldn't have 90% of the basketball players, we wouldn't have swimmer Michael Phelps (naturally has giant hands and feet), gymnast Simone Biles (only 4'8 and 106 lbs), cyclist Miguel Induráin (has a larger lung capacity than the average person), runner Usain Bolt (long legs and believed to have a gene that enhances a humans sprinting ability), basketballer Ekaterina Lisina (holds the world record for the woman with the longest legs), arm wrestler Matthias Schlitte (was born with Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber syndrome which causes bone and tissue overgrowth), wrestler André the Giant (has a condition called gigantism which causes the body to produce excess hormones), and many many more.

This isn't that kind of advantage, we are talking about the physical attributes of both genders, you could have the best trainers in the world. This is women against other women completing in their sports on how physically best they are.

If it was gender neutral type it wouldn't be a problem. What if you were an Olympic swimmer and you competed against 4 Olympics men

What he’s trying to say if a man went head to head with a woman, both normal people, the man would automatically win most of the time… now some women r stronger than men so they win but not frequently. It’s not about your own individual physical traits… but more as a collective team

@JohnK123 @asker you're talking about genetic advantages which the people I listed have. Id also like to point out that many cis women in sports are intersex and these rules affect them too. However it doesn't affect any other type of hyperandrogonism, only women with XY chromosomes (even if they were born that way and outwardly appear as a woman their entire lives). So it's obviously not about genetic advantages.

@JohnK123 no the Olympics are putting restrictions on people with XY chromosomes (not all of these people are trans men). People with other conditions which increase their testosterone levels to above the average person are not restricted and do not have to adhere to the rules.

@JohnK123 my point is the way they have gone about this isn't fair. Honestly the most fair way to go about this is to either ban everyone who has a genetic advantage (nearly impossible) or allowing testosterone usage (doping) up to 5 nmol/L.

I like your idea of having a trans-only section. Like WTF why haven't they done that already?, like it's too expensive to do? How much can fake gold, silver, and bronze medals be? Plus I think people would tune into it just out of wanting to see WTF.

I like your idea of a trans Olympic section. But I don't think letting them just be full on women when they're not really is kind of fucked up to real women. Men are better at everything. Obviously, sports is not any different.

I'm not going to complain about that one bit. I suggested that same idea when this same brouhaha started. If you've been taking hormones and transitioned for a minimum of 10 years, then fine. If not, no good. I'm also fine with a flat out "no" too.

The Women's PGA gets it right. Very simply, it's open to competition to "natural born females" only.

I don't care if someone is transgender. It doesn't bother me. But I do think the transgender right movement has gone way off the rails.

I think it should illegal to undergo ANY transitioning treatment, including drugs, before 18 years of age.

"Trans"women are NOT women. Hence the prefix.

They should not be allowed to compete as women in "women's" athletics. It's unfair to women.

They should not be allowed access to women's only facilities, either, unless they can prove that they have FULLY "transitioned". I don't know proving would work.

If being excluded upsets them, they can just blame the fact that they were unfortunately born severely damaged and, therefore, are unable to do some things that other people do. It's not the world's fault. And it doesn't give them the right to infringe on women's rights.

I actually know two people who fully transitioned in adulthood. They're both good people. They have no agendas and don't call attention to their new identities. I don't blame people like them for the radical trans-rights movement that is being pushed by schools, sports, media, the medical and pharma industries, and democrats.

There are thousands of pages upon pages written up in rule books for Olympic sports to mandate what is fair. We don't allow things like steroids because that provides an unfair advantage. The Olympics has long ago segregated men from competing against women in all but a few sports in which they compete against each other in mixed teams to preserve fairness. But now, to alter the rules for a small majority of athletes that may alter the standings on podiums based on an advantage that one person, i.e. biological woman, may not have over one that has transitioned...how is that fair? I support that trans persons believe that they are the opposite sex...I can't see into their minds, or experience what they experience, so who am I to convince them to feel otherwise, but an acknowledgement and an understanding of biology and what can give an unfair advantage here, must be investigated and upheld for the sake of fairness in the sport.

I like your argument TBH. Can I add that just like taking steroids got banned, maybe not taking shit to make tits grow and compete against chicks should be added? Like for reals shouldn't having a dick and balls count as something. Most of these dudes beating the shit out of chicks were failures as men and it's kind of obvious why they grew their hair out and just claim the other gender. I just think that's fucked up.

Sports is about equal competition. Trans can load all sorts of shit into their systems and there is a big chance of cheating. Hence it's unsafe to allow trans to compete in men or woman's sports.

I'm just extremely thankful that "common sense" has at last prevailed, and that the ban has been fully applied, as it should for all sports or events where cisgended males/females compete against each other.

I certainly would not oppose the transgender community forming their own sporting events.

The Olympics is a world event. Its kind of unfair against other countries if some countries would begin sending men against women and some countries like Russia would totally abuse this.
Moreover it would prevent women from certain countries from participating altogether.

Some Cases will include a woman beating a man but not frequently
men are usually stronger so if one competes in a weight lifting thing, he would have a great chance of automatically winning a medal
