As I understand it other countries are having similar issues with rainbow clothing. But who really is being the twat here? The officials in the stadiums or the people who bring them knowing how the host country feels about the issue?

FIFA does not give a flying fuck about what people and supporters think, it's one of the biggest none political mafias in the entire world and nothing is personal, it's just business. I agree with you. I live in the middle east and I'm very familiar with their culture and rules. Let me tell you that ones talk keep degrading this region probably never set foot in a middle eastern country and think this is the worst place on earth. Well, stay in your village then and be ignorant for the rest of your life. Whenever I travel to a certain country I check their rules, dress code and read about the country the last thing I want is going to a certain country and disrespect their culture.
Respect other people's countries and do your research before entering- plain and simple. It's for your own safety. Places like that are hostile towards lgbt as they would be thrown in jail or worse.
Not sure why FIFA has decided to host over there in the first place, knowingly that football fans are unruly when they travel to other countries.

Also don't be surprised when you catch hell for attempting to push them to change their beliefs, views and ideas. In general human history has shown time and time again that we will never agree on everything and have shared beliefs, ideas and rules. It's also shown that pushing such things on other groups can quickly become really bloody. So agreeing to disagree and pushing your beliefs and ideas onto others is a good way to avoid things going south.
I'll be honest I don't care if you are a LGBTQ advocate or a Jehovah Witness. Showing up on my door step to give me some kind of a sales pitch is going to result in me telling you to take a hike. But if you can skip the sales pitch and accept that I have Tiamat tattooed on my arm, you will be treated with common courtesy and respect.

Qatar quite simply should not be hosting the event.
It is a very prestigious honour to host such an event and it is the role of the hosting nation to make sure that all of the visitors are welcome, safe and able to move around freely and find places to stay etc.
They cannot do the job and this was patently obvious from the beginning and it is highly likely that an investigation will reveal bribery and corruption for which there should be severe penalties, this should never be allowed to happen again.
Why there isn't already strict criteria in place for the selection of suitable hosting nations is anyones guess though I would refer you back to bribery, corruption, etc.
There is a lot of money flying around in the world of football and there is little to no regulation etc to control any of it so inevitably cunts are going to do what cunts do.

I think the Fifa banned all Rainbows on Trikots and anywhere else where they can control it.

Wait until Qatar learns that sometimes when you look at the sky there is a rainbow... plus it's not even necessarily a statement, it's a pretty and natural spectrum of colors. I wonder how they are going to enforce this... banning water dropplets? Declaring rainfall illegal in the day time? considering crystal prisms contraband? Or just outright outlawing white light?
