What is your opinion on the Marine, Daniel Penny, who choked and ended a homeless man's life for threatening passengers on a New York subway?

Penny could get up to 15 years in prison for manslaughter.
Penny was in the Marine Corps. for many years. He is trained to protect, which he did.
He should be rewarded for saving the lives of others.
I love the way black people kick their homeless relatives to the curb. But when their homeless relative dies at the hand of a white man, boy, the family get's an attorney and starts a lawsuit and they become millionaires at their dead relatives expense. Since he has family, why didn't they take care of him? They are just money hungry and don't care about their family. The first thing they did is start a lawsuit. This happens a lot with those kind of families. Then we find out their relative had a long rap sheet and a drug user. The family and attorney makes him sound like the he was an angel that never harmed a flea!

I don't know if we'll ever know the complete facts since this has now become political.

The homeless guy was obviously doing something threatening if Penny and a couple of other guys jumped in to restrain him. I think one of those guys was black.

I am grateful to people who are willing to step up in situations like that.

The marine did fuck up, though. He was required to let up once the threat was eliminated. I think he and the other guys could have subdued Perry until police arrived. It's possible to put someone in a choke hold and lighten up on the grip once they are subdued. But it seems that the marine kept up the pressure even after Perry was unconscious, although I'm not sure about that. But if he did kill the guy, it wasn't self defense. It was manslaughter. Maybe accidental manslaughter, but manslaughter nonetheless. That would be true even if a cop had done it.

I'll also say that Penny's death is no loss. With his record, he was a danger to society. The world is better off without him. Fuck the bleeding heart liberals and fuck those blacks who make everything about racism. And fuck his lowlife family.

In the majority of states he would be given the treatment he deserves. He did not ask to be put in the situation he was in. The upside down laws in democrat cities did that. He should be the one bringing the lawsuit. The homeless guy had 40 prior arrests and clearly had mental problems. He was known to police and made the top 50 crazy people list that the NYPD keeps. So even though the authorities knew that having him released would eventually create a dangerous situation they decided to release him anyway. The city of New York and the people who decided that he should be released are the ones who should be held accountable.

This comes off as very racist from your side. After some digging, there are some uncertainties.

Police sources told ABC News that Penny was not specifically being threatened by Neely when he intervened and that Neely had not become violent and had not been threatening anyone in particular.

It's very unclear what harassing behavior called for him to choke the man.


But I do agree that it would be strange to sue over someone's death, who you didn't care to help out yourself. May so he that they did not have the possibility to do so, that they were already living on bare minium or he didn't want their help.

In high profile cases, I always assume that the "facts" which we have been told are only those facts which the MSM wats to provide to us. They have abandoned their role as reporters of the news and now work only to shape public opinion in a way which advances their sociopolitical beliefs. I was able to find out he had 40npriors including punching a 67 year old woman in the face. The NYPD keeps a list of the top 50 crazy people and this guy was on the list. I have not heard who the judge was that let this guy loose.

The whole thing is tragic. But the tragedy started when he was left out on the street by his own family.
I wasn’t there but the report said he left him in a position where he could still breathe. I don't know what happened after he left. Autopsy should be made public.

You take one life and hopefully save more than two other life.

Do you see the cops try to stop people from committing crimes by shooting them in the leg? Maybe 30 years ago but not anymore. The fatally shoot them right away.
If they did shoot them in the leg instead of killing the perp. then maybe we could get some answers from the shooter as to why they did what they did.
Look, I know it and you know it that Daniel Penny should have let go of the guy long before he did. Only he knows why he kept choking the man.
But it also begs the question why wasn't his family taking care of their homeless family member? Sure, they come out now and recognize him as family, but that's only to win a lawsuit of white on black manslaughter. They've already been on tv with their lawyer.
