Do you believe the legal appeals process is fair to the victims?

Richard Allen Davis was convicted of kidnapping and killing Polly Klas nearly 30 years ago.

He was found guilty and sentenced to death.

He was in his 30s when he committed this act and has now spent 30 years on death row.

I believe there are better ways of handling our incarceration and justice system -- part of which is that the prisoners should be considered legalized slavery, thus forcing them into hard labor and paying for their overhead. As a result, there would be no need for the death penalty and the expense for incarceration isn't upon the taxpayer. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

When one is sentenced to death, should their legal team be able to delay the system to such an extreme?

When Saddam Hussein was found guilty in the Iraq court, the sentence was carried out in less than 2 months.

I support the appeals process and introduction of new evidence if the conviction was based on circumstantial evidence. It's a fact that some people, especially those who can't afford good attorneys, are unjustly convicted.

But when a crime is horrendous and the evidence is unquestionable, I am in favor of swift and brutal treatment. How much their victim (s) suffered should be a factor. No lethal injection. Even hanging is too good for some people, especially torturers and mass murderers.

The prison system is already legalized slavery but this system costs more money than it makes.


What needs to change is that the death penalty must be immediate.


His victim didn’t get to exist for 30 more years and it is a slap in the face to the victim’s family that the murderer got to go on living.


30 years of our taxes feeding, clothing, bathing and tending to his medical needs…. for what?

IMHO, if it is a death sentence, then to needs to be carried out within 2 years. Let it get appealed, but if not overturned after 2 years, bye-bye.
