He was found guilty and sentenced to death.
He was in his 30s when he committed this act and has now spent 30 years on death row.
I believe there are better ways of handling our incarceration and justice system -- part of which is that the prisoners should be considered legalized slavery, thus forcing them into hard labor and paying for their overhead. As a result, there would be no need for the death penalty and the expense for incarceration isn't upon the taxpayer. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
When one is sentenced to death, should their legal team be able to delay the system to such an extreme?
When Saddam Hussein was found guilty in the Iraq court, the sentence was carried out in less than 2 months.
