Which do you prefer Absolute Justice or Due Process?

Absolute Justice- refers to a theoretical concept where justice is administered perfectly, without any errors or biases. It implies a flawless system where every individual receives exactly what they deserve based on their actions.

Due Process- is a constitutional guarantee that ensures fair treatment through the judicial system. It requires that legal proceedings be conducted according to established rules and principles, protecting individuals from arbitrary government actions.

Absolute justice canNOT be administered by humans. Note that I said “can not” and not “should not” because humans are inherently flawed and making mistakes is the second most common guarantee of being alive. It is impossible for flawed beings to create a perfect system that is functional and applicable. Due process, by comparison, is much more realistic and fair and allows everyone the same chance. Those who disagree with it, vocalize against it, and openly admonish and demean it are allowed to do so under this same system because it allows for the acknowledgement of mistakes, and unintended consequences to their actions. It’s a system that should be critiques and constantly improved on, as its goal is to be as fair as possible and with a definition of “fairness” and “justice” that shifts with a constantly changing society, criticism is incredibly necessary.

Absolute justice is a fantasy that can never be guaranteed in every instance. There is no objective "exactly what they deserve. So due process is the best solution society has come up with and a hell of a lot better than mob violence, vigilante justice, or the decree of a monarch or dictator.

• Guarantees you a trial by a jury of your peers (or fellow idiots).
• Establishes rules of evidence.
• Establishes sentencing guidelines for judges and prosecutors.
• Establishes procedures for law enforcement... search and seizure, warrants issued by a judge, handling of prisoners, police brutality, etc.
• Provides the mechanism of appealing a conviction.
• Establishes a period of Statute Of Limitations for crimes to be prosecuted.

Due process. Also very passionate about jury of peers.

Law makers can write whatever they want. A jury of peers is where rubber meets the road of said laws. End of the day the jury of peers of the defendant vs the tax funded state prosecution needs the burden of proof. Taking away my fellow peer neighbor even hurts me at the same time if another peer/neighbor got hurts me aswell. We all have to do our best to be made whole. We are holding ourselves accountable.

Due process is the only way to have a chance of any kind of justice.

Absolute, if it's clear as day. Due, if there's reasonable doubt. But, I think death penalties and trials should be swift. Not, takes 2 or 3 fucking years to sentence him, but then they still keep him alive for 20 fucking years. Death penalty should mean death, not let's keep him alive for 20 fucking more years.
Also, there have been crimes I completely forgot about then, years later they said in the news the guy is at trial. Due proccess is fine, but are they really THAT busy they can't have someone's trial within a week?
I don't know why in the US these things take so fucking long
