I remember reading a theory once somewhere that every bad stereotype about women was men projecting onto them. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of men in the entertainment field did that subconsciously when trying to make their media.


Either that, or men can’t really empathize with a woman’s struggles or the horror of being a woman stalked by a man, as is more common, unless they reverse the roles (which inevitably turns into a fetish for women who stalk men, ie yandere girls).

i don't think outting yourself as a stalker for a movie script is worth it. maybe some screenwriters should go through the known female stalkers stories and get interviews to make a good movie? that wouldn't be too hard. plenty of women kill their male SO, or their ex does.
