It's the largest earthquake in New Jersey since the 1700s.
Just a typical April weekend for me:
Opening Day At Yankee Stadium ✅
Total Solar Eclipse ✅
4.8 Magnitude Earthquake ✅

Sorry for that earthquake. I was running and fell.
😂😂
Nah I think I'm too north to have felt it. I was also in my kids school gym at that time so I probably wouldn't have felt it anyways
Yeah you're probably just a bit too far. Some places close to you did feel it though.
i didn't but a pal said his window here in NYC rattled. a bigger one was in new york around 2012, 5.2 so this weaker.
Yes, but the epicenter of this one was closer. It was in western New Jersey. The epicenter of the 2012 earthquake was closer to Washington DC, somewhere in Virginia.
truth!
no... I was sleeping
Weird how some people in the area didn't notice or feel anything.
maybe they're used to the Subway or something... so, didn't feel it any differently
also, it really depends on the type of soil and building... how much of it you would feel or not
for example... Mexico City which is surrounded by earthquake triggers all over the place
it is known as a fact, that about a third of Mexico City is in GREAT GREAT danger because of the type of soil in that area, but a different third of the city would be a lot safer, and how do you experience any earthquake in both areas is vastly different
Those are all good points and very true. Still, it's funny how one person can feel the shaking, and someone in the same location feels nothing.

I didn't know you East Coasters could get earthquakes. 😛
That's just an average earthquake for us Californians. 😄
Was it your stomach rumbling? 🤔
I'm not sure how I feel about you feeding my instigator tendencies. 😂
