My understanding of it is the 1948 Genocide Convention, which the U. S. signed along with 152 other countries. Every signatory to that treaty is obligated to not commit genocide, as well as punish and prevent genocide. To me it is simple, Israel could not have done it without US support, the US is in violation of the genocide convention and is complicit in war crimes. I hate to say it and wish it weren't so, but it looks black and white to me.

Nope. Arms control treaties primarily center around stuff like "use" of weapons like blinding laser weapons, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, biological weapons, fragmentation weapons that escape detection by x-ray, certain types of landmines and booby-traps etc. There are rules for conducting bombardments, but just selling bombs to a third party nation, not really. Countries that are actually at war are expected to take reasonable care when bombarding military objectives so as to not carelessly hit civilian populations that are bombed, but it's extremely difficult to determine whether dropping bombs that have killed civilians when military objectives are targeted is the result of want or not. So all your hopes and dreams of pinning a genocide charge on Biden due to what is happening in Gaza is futile. It's not going to happen for that reason... If you want to look at federally "mandating" experimental COVID vaccines on human populations, that's an entirely different possibility. That does fall under chemical weapons, and can very easily be used in court.

So the Israeli Foreign Ministry has a list on its website of all Israelis that have been killed by what they label "Palestinian violence" from the year 2000 through April 26, 2024. Over 24 years 1,455 Israelis were killed. So compare that for example to Chicago, over the same 24 years Chicago has had over 14 thousand killed, black men mainly, gang violence, and Chicago is 1/5 the size. but 10x the bodies. But do see that kind of concern in the US, no we don't even care. So in Israel they show a number of 671 attacks, Hamas only claimed 105 of those. But in that same time frame Israel killed approximately 8000 Palestinians.
Look I mean Gaza is essentially an open air prison camp, and Hamas is essentially the gang running the prison. Oct 7 was a prison break. So 8k to 1.5k, and now they're at 40k. So this is not to defend Hamas, but does this seem at all out of proportion to you?

You forget that Palestine elected Hamas to run that area. The PLO formed on the doctrine of annihilation of jews and the destruction of Israel by any means necessary. Over the years they have murdered thousands of women and children. They have raped, molested, beheaded, hanged, stoned, burned, bombed, tortured etc Israeli women, children and men. Along with foreigners to the region. In 1967 the leader of the PLO did an interview where he admitted that the entire purpose of the PLO was to kill all jews in Israel and then all jews on earth. And yet people still are stupid enough to defend Palestine and it's elected proxy Hamas. Sometimes to beat a monster you have to become a monster. Israel and by extension jews have spent thousands of years letting others defend and protect us because we believe in being peaceful and not retaliating. It is in fact taught very early that we should not respond to violence and hate with violence or hate. That changed after WW2. In fact my grandparents were exiled because they decided that they had to protect themselves and others from the attempted extermination. Now many jews realize that sometimes the ends justify the means. The same way the US nuked Japan twice. They knew it was wrong but they also knew that such actions would bring a swift and decisive end.

I'm not sure but aware but they've already been convicted of genocide. The things you said, they actually did! Told them to flee to the south, then bombed the area they told them to flee to. They bombed all the hospitals, then blocked all food and aid trucks in an attempt to starve them and assassinated aid worker volunteers as a message for them to stay out. Told them to flee to Rafah, now they're attacking Rafah. Maybe that 40k will climb to 80k by the time they're done with Rafah.

Well so the US has started an awful lot of wars that it couldn't win. In fact we've lost how many in a row now I've lost track. If those are the rules to live by we violate them more than anybody with our 88 or whatever coup attempts on other countries. I think they're trying to engineer one in the country of Georgia at the moment since Ukraine failed.
But anyway as far as the atomic bombs, you should check out a book called "To Hell and Back - The Last Train from Hiroshima" by Charles Pellegrino. That book will be burned in my memory for as long as I live. I actually posted it on YouTube broken up in about 12 short segments.
I always accepted the reason they were used was to prevent us from having to invade the mainland and how it would have cost a million lives etc.. From what I understand a lot of military historians say that really wouldn't have been necessary, Japan was essentially already defeated, the real reason they were used, to intimidate the Russians. Vaporizing @220k civilians didn't accomplish any military objectives that weren't already largely achieved.
So yeah I would throw that into the same category and even if people blow it off as no big deal it was wrong.
