Do you prefer to read, watch or listen to the News?

I haven't watch "the" news since 2002. I have a nice TV but don't subscribe to any streaming services.

I don't consume any corporate broadcast or print propaganda. I rely upon on-line sources for information.
I'm not too interested in opinions. I prefer good, honest journalism.

Read. Cuts out the noise and commentary. Get the facts. Corroborate it with other news sources- especially ones that usually disagree.

I pretty much ignore the news... :D The "news" is 99% stressful; murders, rapes, kidnappings, child abuse, political vitriol, hate, etc. What isn't stressful is a time waster or irrelevant (celebrity drama, recipes that require random ingredients that I'll never use again, why smoking is bad for you, etc.) I generally spend about 10-15 minutes about once a month on legal or election-related stuff. I've got the general idea; I'm not going to seek out more ways to stress out about things I can't control.

I'm past caring after COVID. I got to such an extreme level of strain during that time between the election, the lockdowns, the protests, a birth and a death, that I just quit caring. I'm kind of like, "OK, the planet is going to hell in a handbasket. I can't do a thing about it. Why am I looking at this and worrying about it right now?" So I quit. Astonishingly, my life is a thousand times better for it and the world didn't stop spinning after all.

I currently have the attention span of a toddler; I struggle watching videos and listening to something.

Reading... and typing... isn't that great either at the moment; it does goes the best out of the 3 option you have listed.

(I need an edit option here on Gag... I am seriously appalled at my 'writing style' sometimes due to the many mistakes I make)

I prefer to read a newspaper as the TV and radio only cover a small part, and I tend to like to know everything that is going on.
