I'm not sure on the context , and I don't like watching stuff like that. I find it disturbing obviously, as an empath. I've not read about this particular incident.
I've never been in a situation like that and I have a strong sense of morality, so maybe I would stupidly step in.
I'd say there are some situations I wouldn't get involved in though.
Where I can't do anything to realistically to help. There is no point wasting my life for something like that.
Also, due to some bad experiences I am not inclined towards getting involved in any domestic abuse situations. The woman chooses that man. Helping her while she is getting the shit beaten out of her is futile. She will just go back to him in the evening or the next day, and it will happen behind closed doors.
Also, I kind of agree with the anon guy below. There is definitely some truth to what he says regarding women. They have lost their sense of being morally righteous relatively speaking.
Having said that, I am a humanitarian. So would probably put myself in a stupid situation. I hate how cowardly people are and I find it really pathetic when there are 10 bystanders that could easily overpower one or two people, but they're too self interested and getting their phones out to give a shit about that person. Same pathetic spineless lot that revealed themselves to be the majority of the population during covid.
My man and I were out for new years at a club. On the way home going to our car we came across a couple arguing and fighting, she was hitting him and he was hitting her back but harder. I said to my man that we should go over but he was like no way. Anyway another couple of guys went over to pull the guy off and protect the woman, well then the woman turned on them and the couple started hitting these two guys. The cops arrived and the woman told them that these guys were had groped her and assaulted her and her man. My man went to school with this woman and knows of her and she's a complete grenade in any situation.
See your man was wise. Did he corroborate the good guys story?
And yes, I've heard of the domestic abuse victim turning on the 'saviour', too. It is a very dysfunctional and fucked up relationship. Women don't just put themselves in danger but also men stupid 3nough to step in ie 'simps'
Well, it's obvious why women didn't try to help her. It's not in women's nature to put their lives and safety at risk to help anyone other than their own children.
Why did men not try to help? That's a little more complicated. In the past, that would never have happened, because boys were raised to be protectors of all women. I think there are a lot of reasons why that's no longer the case, but the two biggest are:
1) Many boys are not raised with a father or a strong male role model so they are not taught what it means to be a real man. Almost half or children today are born out of wedlock because feminism has successfully sold the package to women that men are unnecessary in a child's life, and promiscuity is a virtue.
2) In the past, men viewed women as special, and they deserved protection. Women have worked very hard to NOT be special and to make sure men understand they don't need a man. In short, today's men don't feel any more responsibility to risk their lives for a woman than a man. Men have always been viewed as expendable, and today's men are no longer willing to accept that. They'll protect their loved ones, but why do they have any more responsibility than women do to risk their lives for someone they don't even know? That's a thing of the past, and I largely blame women for that.
Pickup trucks have been around a very long time and are used by construction companies, farmers, landscapers, and in so many other ways so I don't think they should be banned.
The Oklahoma City bomber in 1995 used an enclosed truck and look at the damage it caused. It was a rented truck as well.
I have been in situations many times where someone needed help and without hesitation I jumped right in and did whatever I could do to help out. I am a humanitarian.
A lot of people now a days are so money hungry believe that they will sell their videos and make some money before ever helping people.
And I hope karma gets them someday while someone films them dying. 😡
Was that lady drunk or passed out or what? Why wasn't she rolling on the floor to put out the flames? I mean anything instead of sitting there burning to death. As for the illegal POS, I hope he gets the death penalty. This is on Bite-on-it, as he is the dip who let them all in.
Probably panicked. I think she fell asleep on the subway and someone set her ablaze Probably with lighter fluid.
If I were asleep burning would have woken me up fast. Maybe she thought she was in hell so just resigned herself to burning or was totally out, like he bonked her on the head first to render her unconscious.
Hard to think clearly when you are on fire I'd imagine.

Things like Danial Penny happened. If you try to help people, they will try to send you to prison. Especially if you're white. I mean the message is clear.
The race-baiting media has clipped any angelic wings the majority of this population might of had left. So if it's a black guy (or another minority) that starts raping a chick on the train, they'll record it and not interfere. Which is another incident that actually happened before this one did.
This is also what you get when you vote Democrat. These sorts of incidents tend to happen where that's the popular way to vote. They want it... they vote for more of it. Any laws or rules that stand in the way of this type of thing, are getting dismantled and those people cheer for it and vote for more of it.
given the shitstorm Daniel Penny went through, it shouldn't be a surprise no one came to her help. even if it were a man who was set on fire, nobody would come to his aid. it's easy to talk tough on the internet until confronted with such a real life scenario. woke lunatics will be quick to scream racism while feminists have destroyed the credibility of the MeToo movement where any male help that becomes a false abuse accusation is not met with any exoneration from the public
this is why multiculturalism is a failure and I'm not talking about different religions and backgrounds. it's literally the difference in mindsets of how one lives their life. diverse ideas might be good for inventions and projects but not society
@gwendoline I don't know what the hell is wrong with the human race. Had I seen that SOB start to set her in fire, I would have attacked him no matter if if cost me my life. I would have tried to set him on fire and watched him burn. Persons as a group are cowards at heart, and I have intervened on spousal abuse while at the Academy, and would do it again in a heart beat.
I am considering getting a concealed weapon permit and a shoulder holster for my Beretta 92fs.
@Bricealan You know, I truly believe you would. I wish someone like you had been there when I needed help...
@Caroline91 oh?
@Caroline91 I am sorry to hear that.
@Caroline91 It is just a crazy world.
@Caroline91 Same. To extricate myself from the craziness, for which to be fair, I have to take responsibility for.
Because today, stepping in to put one's life and safety at risk to protect others poses more than just a physical risk. Look no further than what happened to Daniel Penny for proof of that. Thankfully he was found innocent, as he should have been, but not before going through hell first. And his life is forever changed, and not for the better. Every man must consider that when thinking of helping someone who is being harmed by a thug.
Consider also the fact that men don't have the same motivation to help innocent women in distress as they used to have. Chivalry is dead, and women killed it. According to today's women, they don't need a man. That's cool by me. Defend yourself, or let other women defend you. We've had enough.
Please don't Lump us all into the same category. There are legions of women out there who are not as you are describing. Woman have always needed, and still do need protection.
@Caroline91 If that is the case, tell me why the overwhelming majority of the messages men receive today from women is that they don't need men?
Honestly? I don't know and I don't understand it.
@Caroline91 Where are all the "good women" willing to speak out against it? Why do they allow feminists to speak for them? In my opinion, those "good women" who stay silent are every bit as guilty as the loud mouth feminists who they allow to speak for them.
It took you so long to figure out that “humane” shouldn’t even be synonymous with kind? I’ve known this for years. If you’re in trouble and ask for help, no human is likely to help you. You can only rely on yourself. Life isn’t a fairytale. There are no messiahs or supermen who save you from danger. I wouldn’t mind AI replacing them. As long as it lacks their sadistic tendencies, it will behave differently but if they make it sh*tty like themselves then we can only expect a dystopian future
There used to be a Good Samaritan Law that protected people who went out of their way to help people in danger. Until January 20, 2025. That law doesn’t exist!
No one gets arrested for videotaping someone’s misfortune! Call it the Daniel Penny syndrome!
was the woman asleep? did she wake up? i hope she was dead. this is deep dark web type of stuff that people don't want to see. you are complicit in the murder for filming this and not taking action
thanks for the upvote. please take it away for what i'm about to say if it disturbs you.
WAS THIS A MESSAGE?
an illegal will replace your homeless?
I would have automatically ripped off my jacket to smother the flames. If I didn't have one, I would have taken one from one of the pieces of shit who were doing nothing.
And if I was successful in extinguishing the flames, I would have first called 911, then gone after the guy who did it to hold him for the cops.
Fuck the cowards and looky loos who would do nothing. They are disgraceful excuses for human beings.
That's what happens when you spend your free time only online.
Someone will set you on fire?
I guess they filmed it to get evidence for the police. Personally I would have pushed everyone out of the way to get to her to put the fire out. Recording everything is the last thought on my mind when something bad happens.
People are so stupid these days, they are addicted to their phones, I would help instead of watching.
Same
Helping others isn't worth the trouble most of the time. No one is obligated to help out strangers unless that is literally your job. You can get sued or hurt helping others. Which would take away from my family. My family comes before a stranger. I'm not going to risk harm or legal troubles to help out a random person.
They are thinking of the money they can make from TMZ with the video. They should go back to having Good Samaritan laws, where if you don't help, you go to prison.
After Daniel Pennie was arrested for helping save people on the subway from a crazy person threatening to kill them anyone would be nuts to get involved with this sort of stuff. You could end up in prison.
They were not trained firefighters. What else were you expecting? People to dog pile onto her to put out the flames?
Yes...
You can't expect people to help. They might get burnt hurt or...
punished by rotten judges just for involvement.
I went to a first aid class and asked if this was for helping strangers. I quote:
"No, don't get involved with strangers. Because people have gotten sued, wait for paramedics".
Just for helping family.
well cause people expect to be sued for doing anything even if they're trying to help. that's what's wrong with society. everyone is a karen who tries to sue everyone.
This is so true, Americans love to sue. I've read about a girl suing her parents for not paying for her college, another suing a lifeguard for saving her life because he didn't ask for her consent
That's exactly why nobody helps. Cause at the end of the day you're being fucked over for trying to do the right thing
Where I live, not doing anything is illegal too tho xD so try to navigate that.
Think of what happened to Daniel Penny. He heroically steps in to stop a crazy man who was threatening to kill people. He then gets accused of racism and tried for manslaughter.
Daniel Penny is his name. Say his name! Say his name!
No one helps anymore because of fear of prosecution, jail time, or worse. When District attorneys make us fear helping our fellow citizens, people stop helping each other.
I don't carry a cell phone, even if I did, I would've helped!! How hard would it be to take off my shirt or coat and toss it on her to quell the flame?
Men who are using this crime to hate on women and criticize women woildnt pee on a woman if she was on fire. Don’t listen to a word they say.
I hate to say but some of these male feminists would spike your drink and "help" you get home. That happened to a friend of mine at college. The guy in question was always speaking up for women's rights and abortion.
The greatest sin in this world, isn’t hatred or anger.
It is indifference.
People don’t care 🤷♀️ 🧕☪️ about us anymore
In America it's everyone's FREEDOM to burn when they want to.
In America it's a personal RIGHT to help only a few selected ones (provided, they voted right...)
Around here it will not happen. We are a shithole country.
People are afraid the police will arrest them for helping!!!
I'd not expect anything more or less of Americans.
@Dongie sure there dear.
"But but but but but we did something decades ago!!!" How cute.
Its even illegal, not helping someone in distress. Fines are high and you risk emprisonement
Smartphones are an ultimate expression of selfishness.
I agree with you on this one
Maybe they thought the bear (Smokey) had it covered?🤷♂️
We've been conditioned to be bistanders.
Those who helped at time have gotten sued.
Did not a cop walk past her too?
