I get that Jussie Smollet vibe from this, like did she also tell her that this Starbucks was MAGA country too? Anytime I've ever been in Starbucks the batista were generally blue or purple haired with body art and piercings. Basically hipster types, not exactly MAGA people.

Sad if she actually is lying from a desire for attention or some sort of revenge plot because some poor member of staff at Starbucks might lose their job or endure a year of stress from this all.

I don’t personally, because of the hate, harassment, heated political climate, etc. Americans are dealing with / are dishing out which is sad for our country.
Just seems like common place nowadays.

If it is fake, wouldn’t surprise me either with the rise of ‘internet clout chasers’, everyone rushing to be the next big thing / attention grabbing scenarios, and the dopamine rush you get for all the likes and support you get.

Jesse Smollet is a good example, though that was a level 11 in terms of exaggeration.
This is very tame in comparison in all honesty. A racist label joke on a Starbucks Coffee versus a someone putting a f*cking Noose around their own neck.
So they could’ve done something similar like fake bruises on arms, legs, and face saying some white guy pushed them down if they wanted to go mega viral though I don't know seems more genuine when given that circumstance.(This is comparing if she wanted to fake it for the same virality of Jesse Smollet, she would’ve faked the beating)

I just want the America I grew up with again, where we all got along and were open to hearing different opinions and instead we are felt backed into the corner of our political party’s desires we forgot our own ambitions, goals, dreams that only ourselves could champion. There is a mob mentality if you step outside those, your side will claim you are a communist or a fascist or a bot like grow up people and don’t be such sheeple.

Well the evidence is right there. Customers dont have any need to write anything on their own cup.

Why the hell would the customer write some dry ass illegal eagle joke on their own coffee cup when they already pay a rediculously high price just to enjoy their coffee? Most people just want to enjoy their coffee.

I don't think anyone especially not someone who is brown, would write some weird illegal eagle joke on their own cup. Especially not now a days seeing as how most people being targeted for being illegal aliens are mostly brown. I just dont see any reason why the customer would be lying about this.

Plus think about this. The joke "what do you call a sick eagle? illegal." Really is a cringey and targeted joke when told this way. Because the Barista could've told the joke out loud could've told any other joke in the fucking world when she handed the cup to the customer but, they didn't. The Barista took extra time to deliberately tell the joke personally to the customer in writing.

The Starbucks customer is not lying.

It’s not really believable because on the lid she’d instantly see it and could demand a refund or something. A new one. Or a new lid. Anything. Report to manager. Take a different lid and potentially retaliate by tossing the flawed lid over the counter so they could clean it up or something. I don’t know the options seem endless, but definitely putting it on the side would be more believable. Since she’d take the photo much later and then send it to the news. I don't know how this cup made it outside and on tv. Seems fake. As another user here said compare the handwriting. But I’m sure the best of the best can prove or disprove if this was edited or not.

The only time I was “rude” with a customer working a customer service position such as in retail for a company like Best Buy is if they were disrespectful to me. Other than that I would not say anything like that to a customer. My job is to help, serve and try to solve their issue.
