Don't you dare suggest we shouldn't have weapons!!! If EVERYONE, including the priests and nuns were packing, none of this would have happened! Until that happens, what do you expect?

Finally a posting with reasonable comments about guns in the U. S.! If anyone even began to agree with this post, you're part of the problem.

More guns is never the solution! At what point is the U. S. going to change this? I'd be okay with removing ALL firearms from the country. Admittedly that isn't likely to happen. And in order to create better control of firearms, the consequences have to be severe enough to force compliance.

Ya we tried that in the the 1800's everyone owned handguns. They quickly restricted the ability to carry in towns and cities. Not because they were woke. Because they saw that frontier city's with unrestricted carry had a much bigger problems with violence than the ones that didn't. There was no CNN no woke politician just life experience. Such as Bodie California in 1877 which was nationally infamous for unrestricted and uncontrolled daily violence. Which was pretty much the deal in unregulated railroad and mining boom towns. Not less murder not less violence. They laws came about first in the south then across the nation. Finally after the laws were everywhere the idealized Hollywood version of single lawman towns and the only law that mattered was the one on your hip was all romantic rewriting of the so called wild west. It's been tried it didn't work then won't work now.

I‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Give every six old a nice gun for the start of school. So if any bad teacher even looks at them sideways - blammo!!! Justice served. 👍

No, it would be better if military-style rifles were unavailable to civilians. The US is the only developed country where this happens.
