Speaking as someone born in the UK where everything is taxed to the hilt and the government gets greedier every year.

Not exactly, but that's kind of the plan... At the federal level you raise revenue through tariffs and eliminate the federal income tax. This means people, but more specifically companies that do business internationally foot the bill for the federal government to maintain diplomatic relationships with other countries and to field an army that can manage disputes with foreign nations rather than normal average Americans who rarely interact with foreign powers. The responsibility to pay is put on those responsible for those foreign interactions. At the state level there is more variability. Local governments manage their own budgets and methods for funding those budgets. So for example in Florida, we already have no state income tax. Currently we are working toward no property tax for residents of Florida on their homestead. You still would have to pay taxes on commercial property, industrial property, and investment residential real estate like second homes, rentals, etc. The burden of taxation is shifted to people generating cash-flow from real estate, rather than placing that burden on people just trying to live. There is also obviously still consumption tax (sale tax). If you participate in commerce, then clearly products need to move through sea ports, on rails, over roads, etc. and all that infrastructure needs to be maintained. So if you buy shit, you are partially responsible for that infrastructure that makes it all possible. Of course there is more to the plan with state chartered credit unions issuing low interest loans to residents of their state to reduce cost of living and promote economic growth, a commodity back currency to act as a store of value which appreciates over time rather than depreciates, tracking of government spending to eliminate fraud and abuse of tax payer dollars, etc.

President Trump delivered the biggest tax cut in American history. It is aimed to benefit mostly the middle class. Every tax cut that I ever saw always benefitted other groups besides the middle class that pay most of the taxes in America.

No taxes on tips, a big deduction for Social Security and raising the SALT deduction to $40,000 are things that will help the working class and not the rich.

I think that Trump would like to eliminate the IRS and fund the government just on tarriffs. I do not think it is possible but between the tarriffs and cutting government spending we will be in a much better position financially.

It's insane if they think Americans are going to pay for the shit that needs to be paid for out of the goodness of their hearts. They're the most vile, egoistic indivuals who walk this earth.

School are going to shut down, streets are going to be shittier than they are now, military is going on a strike.

I so wish they'll get this through so I can see the cesspool they call the United States go to even more shambles than it already is. Let them kick the most vulnerable a little more. Perhaps they'll go on murder spees out of desperation but that is fine, at least they've rights to own guns.

There should be a balance, and appropriate taxation depending on income with the rich paying more. Where do you think most hospitals, parks, city maintenance and security comes from if not the taxpayer dollar?

What we should do is stop sending so much of American taxpayer money overseas.

Before federal income tax came into existence in 1913 with the 16th amendment to the US Constitution, there was no income tax or inheritance tax, and only limited regulations. Nothing wrong with less government in my book.

Putting the government on a strict diet from spending would be a great start.

Income tax is unconstitutional thus illegal in the US. It was introduced as a temporary war tax in 1916 if I'm not mistaken. Snuck in under the carpet by the same bankster gangsters who privatised the federal reserve in 1913.
