The SNAP benefits will not be renewed on Nov 1 which is Saturday. There have been many welfare recipients on You Tube that have vowed to just load up their shopping carts with groceries and just walk out with them. Some said if the store has security they will go out in the parking lot and snatch the bags out of the hands of unsuspecting shoppers. Some said that anyone that tries to stop them, they will get punched in the face. They seemed pretty serious about this.

My wife went food shopping yesterday and stocked up on basics. We live in a pretty affluent area but our democrat governor has tried to whip the welfare class into a frenzy by sending all SNAP recipients a letter blaming President Trump and the Republicans for the crisis even though she spent the so called Rainy Day fund on illegal aliens and that could have been used to fund SNAP. After Saturday, all bets are off it seems.

I went to a supermarket on Saturday. I did not see anything out of the ordinary.

I guarantee that, where I live, no one is going to walk out of a grocery store with a cart full of groceries without paying. They might even get shot if they try.

The people complaining about a lack of SNAP have an easy solution... call their Democratic Senators and tell them to vote for the clean resolution and reopen the government.

Don't laugh but it's a non lethal byrna gun. It shoots balls made of tear gas and pepper spray. I can carry it everywhere and I don't need a permit. I've used it twice and the effect lasted well beyond when the police arrived

What's funny is that grocery stores only stock 3 days of food for the neighborhood they service. So if they mass loot, they will end up looting a 3 day supply of food and then their stores will close forever and there will be no more food deliveries to their neighborhood. Then the starvation really sets in... Grocery stores operate on 1-2% profit margins and need volume just to stay in business. If looting occurs they are out of business at that location. They will close up shop and likely not return for at 10 years (next real estate development cycle). Short term gain for long term loss.

I applied for food assistance once. I got ten dollars for the first forty-five days and then ten dollars a month after that. Ell oh ell! I ended up buying groceries on credit cards and just had to buckle down to pay it off when i went back to work.
I say that to say this. I had the SNAP app on my phone and they send administrative messages to users through the app. Your governor’s letter most likely fell flat because most users got the message from SNAP that it’s the democrats’ shutdown that is freezing their benefits. Additionally, Drumpf’s administration has already cut tens of thousands of fraudulent users and he promised to get benefits returned to legitimate users ASAP.
Only the dumbest of the dumb are still blaming Drumpf at this point. Them and the liars and hypocrites who sold them their crocks of sh*t.
