By How Much Have Gas Prices Hiked In Your Area?

I'm currently in California. During Biden to fill this current SUV it was about $120 and I lived in Washington state during that. Right now in California it's at $84.
Yeah... it sucks, but I've seen worse thanks to Biden. Plus I have more faith that this time something important is getting done so I'll pay the price a bit more willingly. Plus I haven't been paying this price for 6 months yet like I was with Biden. It's only been like a week so far.
I sort of get you @SabinaV
Off the top of my head, it's really obvious that every Liberal state I cross into, the price goes up by at least a dollar... so does the anti-gun laws. It seems like every military station the gov puts me in is in a liberal state... I can't get sent to Florida at least once? FML. lolz
Regular unleaded (87 Octane) was about $2.90 before the Orange Moron's latest pointless war. It was $3.50 the last time I filled up about 2 weeks ago. The last I heard it was $3.60 last week. But I only fill my gas tank about once a month on average. So I don't really care what gas prices are. If you're driving a 6,000 lb V8 truck or SUV, enjoy the price inflation. You can thank your MAGA friends for electing stupid.
I locked into a heating oil hedge contract back in Sept at $2.87 / gallon. Heating oil is now selling for $4.50 / gallon in my area. Once again, I don't fucking care. I insulated myself from the stupidity. Someone else is taking the beating on my hedge contract.
I only need to buy gas and it rises so much; a lot more than it is reasonable...
However. I need to buy gas, I don't have a choice. Other people die because of the war. So I do not complain to may much more now.
But I can imagine people who drive a lot to work are more angry. I don't have to drive far. Don't know how much percent.
I don't drive in my holidays now. I guess much people with a company car don't complain... and still drive much!
How do you feel when elite liberals want to tax your use of gas for not buying an expensive EV on top of the oil price? ... basically a tax for being poor.
To be honest, I’m not even half as well-informed as I should be when it comes to local politics. I know that extremes aren’t good. I try to look at things from the outside and listen to different opinions rather than parroting what people say at the bar. I rarely express an opinion that involves politics. That’s why I can’t say much about the interconnections—only what I subjectively feel.
That tells me: I hope I won’t have to fill up my tank very often in the future.
You're the majority in my opinion. Probably lives a normal life, has cares and concerns but politics isn't really one of them... Yet the politics taxes the shit out of you for things you probably never voted for.
I feel for you more than the informed. Just a normie, but having to pay the price.
Facts.
I agree with that. I think you're... I'm trying to think of a word that doesn't sound like I'm trying to say something like some beta simp would say to chick... Can you help me?
It's a word that's positive, but not sexy positive. I want to say good job and just pat you on the head... but we're on the internet. The pat on the head is the same I would give my dog. Not a sexy pat.
I appraise your intelligence to a high degree.
In one week they've increases by about 4p per litre for petrol and 8p per litre for diesel. Works out around extra £2 to fill a petrol car.
Obviously this is going to push prices sky high as shops pass it on to customers.

It was about 1.45 euro per liter before the start of hostilities. It got to 2 euros at the end of last week, or a 38 per cent increase. The Spanish government has reduced tax from 21 to 10 per cent last Saturday, today it's at 1.87 euros. That's still a 29 per cent increase from pre-war prices. Nothing prevents gas stations to increase the prices again and counteract government measures.
(that's aproximately in dollars 1.69, 2.33 and 2.17 per liter, whatever that works out per gallon)
Um no that isn't math. 1.45 is 73% of 2. So the difference is 27%. Which casts doubt on your numbers if you have an alarmist agenda.
In NYC a 17% increase, since before the war $3.58 around 70 cents, as the common phrase "less than a cup of coffee" different.

Sure some places raise more but any more than 17% is just for politics to ALARM you, but that was not the actual increase.
So people who say it is more is true but if say 'raised very much' that is not accurate as above and exposed an alarmist political agenda.
Price Increases in the UK Since the Iran ConflictSince the onset of the Iran conflict, fuel prices in the UK have seen significant increases. Current Average PricesFuel Type Price Increase Current Average PricePetrol 19p 152p per litreDiesel 38.8p 181p per litreThese increases reflect the impact of the ongoing conflict on global oil markets, leading to higher wholesale costs that are passed on to consumers at the pump.
It's not good over here. I'm paying $4.19 right now like are you crazy? I might go over there and give Iran a piece of my mind.
For now, I'll just buy a motorcycle and see how long this lasts
Fuel prices have almost doubled in California, but it has way more to do with Newsom’s asinine policies and practices than anything else. This was predicted two years ago.
Recently, they haven't, noticeably, to me.
I have seen gas prices jump badly in past decades, though.
$9.00 per gallon - I just found out a few minutes ago. Whooowewe!! Do I buy gas or pay for my groceries. ⚖️
Quite a bit. Ours are over $4/gallon for regular fuel. Granted, our state is typically higher taxed than neighboring states.
i topped off my tank yesterday. It was 3.75. The lowest it went was 2.69. It has gone up over a dollar in 3 weeks.
Its gone up by about 0,30 eurocents a liter. Diesel about 0,60 cents a liter.
$3.59. Still cheaper than when Biden was in office. $4.00+. And when Obama was in office $5.00+
Super E10 from 1,60€/L to slightly above 2,00€/L.
In Australia in rural areas around $3 a litre that’s over $11a gallon
about 50-75 cents, depending on where and the station, then there are the station right off the highway charging about a dollar or more in last month.
They haven't. I filled my tank last week for $2.50 I still have 3/4 of a tank. They may be $3.30 but by the time I have to fill my tank again they will be$2.5 again... Or less
Diesel is up more here in England, getting on for 20% in the past month
Syk rocketing in my country, no just the gas, but everything esle too!
Probably about a dollar a gallon more since the war started
The station that I usually frequent has 87 octane for $6.79. I'm in California.
How much was 87 octane in week of march 9th?
@strateguy632 Around $5.50
Tnx!
A lot but that's not even the main issue, the main issue is the lack of availability even in high prices.
Went up around 70 cents a gallon in Southern New England as of last Saturday.
Yep, Gas prices are going up more than Oil per barrel
as of today 3/23 its up 1.10 a gallon and I have to use premium in my car ugh
It's gone up over 30 cents a litre
According to an article I read, almost 40%
Biggest money raise of the history. Not as a percentage as an amount
It's about $1 per gallon more
from what I hear... less than a dollar
About $1 per gallon, maybe a bit more.
It's around 3.78 for gas and around 5 for diesel
Still under three dollars per gallon where I'm at.
I have no idea, I don't drive.
From $275 Now its over 4 dollars a gallon
Almost 1 dollar
By about $2/gallon.
$1.21 a gallon in last 3 weeks
90% here in the Ph
I add: "Based on current exchange rates as of March 23, 2026, 73.8 Philippine Pesos (PHP) is equal to approximately 1.24 US Dollars (USD) for a liter. So $4.71 per gallon. Purchis* power of currency probably made this worse. Competition is not yet bringing down more expensive companies there. AI helped me get this data so i assembled it.
+$1.30
About 50c.
About $0.45
Over a dollar
