Florida; the state with the oranges, is now giving out nearly $170 tickets to the pieces of shit driving slow in the left lane.

Their police say if you got people overtaking you, you're impeding traffic and are creating an unsafe environment... So get the FUCK out the left lane

Abso fucking lootly! There are few things that irritate me more than an asshole going slow in the left lane. Some of them are just completely oblivious to what is going on around them, while others are "self-deputized" state troopers who believe they are doing their duty to force others to slow down.

What are they actually doing? Causing accidents. My brother in law is a state trooper and he has said multiple times that people driving slow in the left lane cause far more accidents than people driving above the speed limit, because they are causing drivers to change lanes to get around them, and lane changes cause accidents.

So, to you morons out there who drive slow in the left lane, pull your head out of your ass and move to the right where you belong.

It depends on the definition of slow. I would argue i was doing exactly the speed limit and this law is forcing me to break it, I'm in a no win situation. You'd also have a good argument to say the road conditions were not suitable for the speed limit.

As for common sense it’s not so common nowadays especially on the road.

As for the left lane it’s a passing lane in a lot of states & I think it should be set into law nationwide. There is nothing that grinds me gear more than LEFT LANERS.

You know growing up down here 🌏🦘 I read Darkly Dreaming Dexter after seeing a guy had it on a bus once reading it circa 2009.

I read the book and what stands out to me then as it does now, book was 2006, and it's now 2026 - the author would write in Dexter's voice about "slow drivers are a cardinal sin" - or something in terms of Floridian culture.

Did you know that roads in most states undergo an engineering study where a speed limit is set based on scientific/statistical criteria and you can sometimes get out of a speeding ticket based on the town lowering the limit on their own?

Oh hell yes. Granny and grandpa camped out in the left lane doing 50 mph and refusing to move out of the way is a huge problem all over the USA. The law in most states is pass and move right.
