No. Judges in the US have the authority to exclude the public from their courtrooms in order to maintain the decorum of proper legal proceedings. Some have even gone so far as requiring special permits for press.
I saw a clip of Conor’s appearance in court in the US and it wasn’t the spectacle you might expect.

Yeah, our civics teacher went with the whole class in highschool. The trial was a criminal case against an Arab asylee who got year in prison for trying to steal a jacket.
