i haven't been following this too close but it makes complete sense. Trump is a whiny vindictive person and will go after anything or anyone for the least perceived slight against him. You know the reason he has this hatred towards windmills is because there were a few blocking his view from a golf course in Scotland. he tried to get them removed but lost. yeah this is Trump in a nutshell.

He cannot do that without Congressional approval, or pretty much anything on his own. That's why we have Congress, so that he can't go crazy with doing whatever he wants.

There were a lot of court battles about that. The Supreme Court temporarily halted the project, and then proceeded to allow him to while still not resolving the battles against it.
The Kennedy Space Center remained the same; he did nothing but added his name to it--and later it was taken off. This time thankfully, the Court did not rule in his favor.

Right, the Trump-aligned board of the center chose to close it after a federal court ruled that it could not allow Trump's name on it without Congressional approval and it's in their hands. They closed it because of this dispute. He also asked the Supreme Court to push against mail-in voting and it rejected that, so that's why he's upset withe the Supreme Court now. They finally stood up to him.
