Valentine is not a HOLY day 😅 a bunch of money seeking managers found out they could commercialise this so they made it soooo big that it made you feel bad if you don't have a valentine.

End it cause it ruins younger people's view on love and relationships.

I actually enjoy it. I want more Holidays, not fewer! That said, my wife and I don't celebrate it in such a consumer-style way. We tend to do things like cook for each other, or we'll have a six-pack of beer and split it.

I agree with @DonkeyDan that we should be romantic and affectionate every day of the year. I must admit though that I fail sometimes. I get caught up in something and the affection remains but I'm not always summoning the most romantic side of myself. So I benefit from having Valentine's Day here, or a Christmas there, or New Year's here, or an anniversary there.

I don't buy into the cancel culture, but I don't like Valentine's day because it's just a commercial money making day. Why have one day a year to show your partner some love and affection, that should be everyday of the year.

If nobody can't be satisfied with love that doesn't involve money then Valentine's Day should never be a holiday to begin with. People already have a job and getting money on a regular basis and yet they're still asking money from strangers they've never even met or seen before.
