Love. After the end of my relationship with my first and only boyfriend I felt love was a lie and it hurt so much. I felt love was what guys used to hurt others and get what they wanted but during the period of being alone I realised love was beyond and above all listed above. As I moved on in my life I realised how unconditional love is. Love is beautiful and amazing. Love is forgiving but learning. Love is the root of beautiful things. Love is sacrifice. To me love is having hope even where there seems to be no hope. Love is being there for someone even when they've hurt you over and over. When you love someone you see beyond their flaws, you want the best for them, you wanna protect them, you wanna give them the best. To me love isn't only about the other person but about myself as well. Love makes me wanna better myself for myself, for my partner and for the world. To me love is sacrifice, love is giving, love is care. And most importantly what makes love so unique to me is the fact that love is a choice. A choice that's so beautiful, a choice that can create new life, a choice that can change a person for the better, a choice that brings peace and harmony. Love does not give up. Love always prevails. Once it's meant to be, it'd be.
I would say that love is an emotional connection, attraction and desire to be with someone. You don't base it on what someone does for you in return. You simply love them and want nothing more than their happiness. Think about their needs before your own. Empathize with them when they feel down and celebrate with them when things go well. Let them know how important they are to you. They should feel that you are the haven they can go to and they will stop thinking about their problems when they see you.
Love is when you think about eachother all the time and want to spend your time together. You want to make the other person happy and smile and laugh. You want to hug and comfort them when sad and do your best to make everyday a better day for them. And romantic love is having that burning passion in your eyes when you see them, having trust and a warm secure feeling when you are around them. A desire to touch and be connected on a level deeper then any non romantic love.
Love is something I feel both mentally in my head and in my heart physically from full admiration, overflowing interest with an unbeatable burning hot desire; a craving that’s high in demand. In demand, why? Because you either can’t have it, it’s hard to get, or you may not want to feel ashamed venerability or weakness that may come with it… all because I simply like it.
So it’s kind of the complex yet still a simple concept. So you like something, right? It will give you a bit of a dopamine and euphoric feeling about it. It could be anything, a person, concept/ideaology, or maybe even an illusion, etc. If the feelings are stronger the likelihood of being favorable than it’s a simple form of love. I believe it’s even healthy for a love for someone or something should be a “well-balanced obsession”, not just an obsession. A “well-balanced breakfast” is what I love. Tell me what you love in the comments below.
love is a decision, not a feeling. show me your love by telling me how you feel. i'll show you my love by my actions. if your feelings don't cause you to take action, then it doesn't really mean anything. and if your actions suddenly change from good to bad with the direction of your feelings, is it really love? i don't think so. if i treat you like shit because i feel like shit, how is that love?
love is selfless. it means treating the other person in a sacrificial way despite how i feel or what i want. putting someone else's needs ahead of my own. i'm not her to BE served, but TO serve. real love is always directed away from self and towards others.
Not romantically but love is just a desire to always been around certain people or enjoying life’s wonderful moments with them. Best friends since child age, a close colleague, man’s best friend. Even food is love to be honest. Like for me, love is really a fresh brewed iced coffee and chocolate cake.
Love is something that can't be easily obtained. If it was that easy then so many people would not fight hard for it. Love is a way to show you care about that person as much as they care for you. Love is being there for that person through thick and thin. Love is passion, romantic, intense and scary. Once you feel it, you never want to let it go. That's what love means to me.
Love is the butterfly feeling you get when you think about the special someone, when you see that special someone and when you touch that special person. Love is looking forward to being with a person for the rest of your lives. Love is being able to finish each other's sentences and knowing what the other person is thinking. Love, respect, honesty, trustworthiness and faithfulness is what relationships are built on. Love is never-ending
Love is like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee on a rainy morning! It's comforting, invigorating, and fills your soul with warmth. It's the magnetic pull that brings hearts together, the shared smiles that speak volumes, and the feeling of being understood without uttering a single word. Love is the masterpiece painted by the brush of time, with every stroke revealing the beauty of resilience, forgiveness, and boundless joy.
when you love someone, you feel connected to them in a way you can't even begin to describe with words. but they know when you tell them you love them what you mean, because, again, you're connected beyond words. you have conversations like this:
or this:
(my male best friend)
you share the best and worst moments. you end up stronger than before each time. you share the embarrassment. you laugh till you can't breathe. you cry when you feel like it and are never judged for being emotional. you respect their boundaries and they respect yours, and you respect one another's differences, no matter how weird. that, to me, is love.
I don't believe in a universal concept of true love. Love is a complex mixture of feelings that include desire, respect, care, jealousy, altruism, fear, sacrifice, companionship and understanding. Given how complex it is to feel all of this at the same time, every person feels it in a different way, I suppose. I also don't think love is pure, because we are humans and all of your feelings are contaminated with insecurities and desires. So, people may do stupid things when they love another. I also don't believe in love at first sight. You don't need to have a long relationship with a person to start loving them, but a bit of contact is necessary. Above all, love is irrational. Somethings you think: "why the hell I am doing this for this person", but you do anyway.
It when you care about someone more than you care about yourself. They are the person you care most about in the world and could not see yourself with anyone else. Love is not earned and it can be extremely hard to receive because it takes the highest level of trust to give to someone. When you love someone its hard not to think about them.
Love is caring about those around you and always hoping for the best for them. Love is wanting to be there for the important moments and helping them when they are in need. Love is wanting to do everything you can just to see their smile.
Love is every action and reaction, every breath in or out, every heroic thought and deed. Love is what lights a person's soul even in the darkest times. Love goes way beyond the little romantic quips and anecdotes shared here on GaG. It's an eternal flame that keeps humanity moving forward even when we seem hell-bent on ruining it all with poor choices.
Willing to serve each other. Also if you are not willing to die for someone you dont love them, you like them. Love is different then like and often gets bunched up in the same category. The willingness to put your life on the line separates those who love and those who only like and thats okay just dont say I love you if you dont mean it.
Love is the ability to be upfront and open with your partner without fear of being thought wean or unmanly.(She, being a true lover, would reciprocate.)
Also, she revels in my chivalrous and randy sides because she realizes that she's a girl and I'm a boy.
What is love? Well before I can say what it is I must say what it is not… Love is not a feeling or an emotion. Yes, some people get emotional when saying, “I love you.” And certainly a person can feel that they are loved. However, love is not a feeling or emotion. Simply put it is an action, a choice… Love means that out of the millions of people out there,”I choose you.”
Love is growing old together, walking in rain together, supporting eachother in sorrow and the most love is having a connection, it is bonding. It is speaking without words.
