My favorite is "what are you thinking about?" My ex used to ask me that all the time. Or just "what do you think?" It woud come right out of the blue, not in reference to anything, just in general what am I thinking at that moment. It drove me nuts. If I wanted you to know what I was thinking about I'd have told you! Usually it's nothing anyways, and that never gets accepted as a reasonable answer.
For instance I can remember a time we were in the car, I was driving, and we'd been driving for a couple hours and it had been quiet for about half an hour and here's almost the exact conversation: Her:"What do you think?" Me:"... About what?" Her:"I dunno... about anything? What are you thinking about?" Me:"Um... driving?" Her: "No, I mean really, what are you thinking about?" Me: "Really... I'm thinking about driving... and this conversation... but mostly driving."
blah, blah, blah, blah Long story short there was uncomfortable silence the rest of the way home and she was stand-offish the rest of the night.
Girls... when a guy says he's not thinking about anything... he means it. We think about 0 or 1 thing at a time... we don't multi-task with our thinking.
It's hard for most girls to grasp that because we're usually thinking about 2 or 3 things at a time while we're doing 2 or 3 completely unrelated things. Like we'll be watching TV and doing our taxes while thinking about that cute boy we met earlier, what to have for dinner, and what I have to do in class tomorrow.
But that's good to know. - 9 months ago

I've noticed... Guys aren't incapable of multi-tasking...but we tend to be much more focused so if we're thinking about anything or doing anything, we usually devote all our attention to it. There are some exceptions. I think I'd go nuts if I was trying to think about that many things at once all the time. But in general... yeah, if we're doing something, that's what we're thinking about. If we're not doing much of anything? Then we're probably not thinking about anything beyond the mundane - 9 months ago
As a server one time I had a table with a couple of girls for lunch. They were both cute. I chatted with them a bit, I was nice, but really didn't do a ton of flirting. But when they left, they left a...
