Can a girl like me, even though she doesn't talk to me?

I have a girl in my school who obviously I like. well we have a class together and during that time I see her occasionally look at me. She's done some odd things, once she did this head tilt thing which was away from me then twice towards me really fast. she didn't look at me when she did it but she must have answered something her friend mouthed to her.

During the class I said she occasionally stares, or our eyes meet. Twice we were in the hallway, alone, and I said hi to her the second time and she smiled and said Hi back. The first time she smiled first at me.

But the talking part, she never starts a convo with me, and I to her. Could she be shy towards me? she talks to other guys, but to me she only says hi when its just us.
