He texts me instead of calling, is he interested?

Question

He has text me everyday but we do not talk on the phone. Is he interested?

Texting sometimes is the best way to warm up to a person in my opinion.

He may be shy, but then again he could be busy, and to avoid saying I'll call you back every every few seconds or saying hold on repeatedly, he sends you his thoughts digitally.

What you could do to make the texts more personal is add your emotion to your text and in turn he'll do the same. For example: "I'm thinking of you *[said while smiling]*.

Just when ever you can throw some emotion behind your texts, try to do this.

Because sometimes text messages can send the wrong state of mind.

I tell people all the time, You can say anything to just about anyone, but its all in how you say what ever you say. Same with txt messaging.

Take your levels of interest to the next level.

I'm sure he is interested in you, or he wouldn't be communicating with you at all. Texting is good for short messages, and when you are in a hurry, or can't call. But its not that good for carrying on a lengthy conversation. I would try talking to him, and encourage him to call you. Its always easier to convey the true meaning in conversations, when you can hear a person's voice.

I think he probably cares about you because he is spending some time to write you a text, even though it is impersonal. But in my experience with the guy I am dating who is a "texter", he simply tells me that he does not like to talk on the phone that much, and so he can get his message across, whatever he wants to ask or say, quickly and easily through a short text message.

The question I have is, even though you do not talk on the phone very much with him, does he make the time to spend time with you in person? If he doesn't call you AND he hardly ever wants to be with you in person, then he is probably running game. Good luck!

Not really. A guy who doesn't want to take the time to actually for real talk to you on the phone is trying to avoid meaningful conversation. Cause on the phone, y'all can really talk and he obviously doesn't want to do that. OR....he's probably not a phone person.  Some ppl don't like talking on the phone like some ppl don't like texting. So, one of those two but the first one is usually the case.

I'm bad about texting too. When I speak, I get all flustered and can never get out everything I want to say. I know texting is impersonal, but, being a shy gal, I can't help it. I'm sure guys are the same way.

The good news is that I'm initiating calls more often. ; ) I'll be glad when I get past texts (unless it's for a quick note, of course).

i think he feels more comfortable about saying things to you by text messages, maybe he can express himself more.

Just give him time, and make him feel a little bit more comfortable with you. Let him get used to you and you'll see the difference :)

He likes you, he's just needs time to think of good things to say because he probably gets nervous face-to-face and thinks he will say something stupid. I think most people like it when the opposite sex is confident.....so he better man up because you will not get anywhere into a relationship just by texting each other.

Is he shy? Texting is easier as it is more impersonal - in my opinion - so it seems like quite a few people find it easier. Texting is also short and abrupt. There really isn't much flow while talking requires a bit more insight and courage.

Thats a tough one. I'm going through the same thing. I think that's his way of letting you know he is thinking about you. Maybe he is just scared to talk to you on the phone. He don't know what to say on the phone but in a text he can be himself.

Think about a question that you would text him and then ask him that question in real life instead of texting and see if he seems to stumble over his words or if he is nervous

I think he texts because if he writes something dumb he can just delete and try again, because he wants to be smooth, which he might not come up with such good things in person, so he is trying
