so I was wondering if someone calls you sweets does that mean anything?

depends on the person calling you sweets. There is one cute guy at this coffee shop that calls me sweets and darling and all that stuff, and says it to some other people to as just being his way of being charming and greeting someone. And I know other people who call me this all the time too. If it is a shy person or someone who does not use those words often, then it could mean something. From a girl it just means she thinks you have a cute and sweet personality, it is a good thing but not in a flirty likes you likes you way.

depends on the person,...but good thing eathier way,..cause even if said casualy as a greeting means they think you are good.

I call all my friends sweet, huni and even sexy, but it's not because I'm flirting with anyone, it's me just being friendly, people tend to perk up when you say silly things like sexy, it's just funny, saying sexy to a stranger wouldn't be the same tho, but I do call strangers sweet and huni, it's just friendly, not flirting

What's in a term of endearment ?

My wife's boss's wife called me "adorable", ...my wife didn't particularly like it...My dental hygienist called me "Hot", ...my dentist didn't like that either... A woman at work called me 'Doll", and a gay doctor at a Christmas party called me 'Beautiful" ...His wife REALLY didn't like that !

I call people that I like, "Sweets"... I use the term when I don't know the woman well enough to use a more 'familiar' term of endearment. I don't think anyone should worry about what some calls you in a favorable way ...

Other than denoting a general lack of creativity, it would seem he's interested in you as more than a friend, and this is his way of "sneaking up on it" if you will. That is of course unless you notice him calling everyone he meets "sweets", in which case he's socially inept, and not much of a find to begin with.

'sweets' from a guy might mean he's interested, could be flirting, could be lust, or could be general even... 'sweets' from a girl probably means nothing out of the ordinary...

Well, it depends how it was used in the context of a sentence.  It usually is just another cute nickname like honey or sweetie-pie.  Although if it was a boy that really knows you and might like you then yes, it means a lot.
