He is very confident around me giving eye contact but one time he became nervous around me, while saying hi and how are you. I felt so bad for him, I wanted to say something to him but I couldn't. Does that nervousness that one time validate it more that he would be into me even though it only happened once?

I most certainly say he likes you. Guys get nervous and concerned about women they like. Because you girls scrutinize men with their one shot so they aren't really sure how to go about it. It is a good sign. General rule of thumb if a guy likes you, it'll be difficult for him to come to you. If he is a player, he'll Prince Charming your panties off.

I'm not sure. I also had this guy, who was really nervous around me and he said he is very shy and nervous around beautiful women (didn't say he likes me, just about beauty, which also could be just a politeness), but when I took my guts and asked him out, he turned me down, gently, but still...:) I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a girlfriend and then I figured, he just doesn't like me. I don't know why he was nervous around me, maybe cause I showed some signs that I like him and he was confused.

I mean they were nice, so yes of course. In some ways, maybe I was cold due to awkwardness. Generally speaking, if a guy is nervous around you, he probably likes you. This is true for ANY guy because we care what you think of us, your opinion of us (asshole, player, loser, goof off, etc.) matters.
But it was only one time, I see him all the time, he is usually very comfortable around me. There was nothing different that day that I could think of .So even if it is only one time?

I'm shy, or don't talk as much, or act a little differently around girls I like. It is usually because they are shy or don't talk as much, so when I say something or talk, it comes a bit awkward.
Maybe. There is a chance he was thinking about you a certain way and got a little nervous. So it might mean he digs you.
