Men Have Feelings Too, Believe It

Over the years, I probably, like most other men, have been on the receiving end of man-bashing resentments. Nothing quite like women having the gumption in telling me in my face how much I am a loser just because I am a man. One cannot drive anywhere without seeing stickers on cars belittling men in so many ways. Dating is next to impossible, especially for me since I am not tall, handsome, young, race-specific nor rich. All in all, I get a lot of reverse sexism but cannot understand how women expect us to give them the respect and adoration they demand. Some women will say "Can't take a joke?". Sure, men-hating is about as funny as a racial slur.

Take it from a man who catches plenty of racism. It's not funny at all.

Do not misunderstand me, I love women. I want to marry and have a lasting relationship forever. But it's not easy to approach any woman for fear of harassment or being rejected so rudely and disrespectfully. I acknowledge that women are equals. I believe that women should always be treated fairly. But so should men.

What makes this different from the Civil Rights Movement in the 50's is that the black community asked America kindly and non-violently to give us respect and equality. The Women's Movement of 1990 demanded respect and equality with the right to call men Pigs...or else... Do you see the difference? I sure do. For much of my life, I get called racial slurs, now it's gender slurs. Can't be friends with anyone it seems.

The point I want to make is that this men-bashing must come to a stop. For 15 years, women have made strides in the workforce and in society; I praise you. But at the same time, women have no respect for men. This causes a silent resentment amongst men and there must be something done. Divorce is rampant and single parent families are at an all time high. Asking a woman for a date has nothing to do with sexual harassment yet men sure get in plenty of trouble for it. IF women want us men, let's try and find out how to make it happen. We must find a way to strengthen America at the homefront by bringing MAN and WOMAN together once again. But this cannot be done of women continue to place these barriers between us.

We want our woman back. But we can't do it alone.

homer Though it's no excuse for their behavior, women have been dominated by men throughout most of the written history and this might be a reflection of it. Or could it be men's perception of feeling underhanded for the first time? Great article nonetheless! - 3 months ago
Lancealott We men can only blame our fathers and grand fathers for being so damn stupid. For treating women like dirt how because of their sex.. And so now women seek their revenge through torturing us like we tortured their mothers and grand mothers. Not all women do this but those who do are simple minded they believe that all men are the same because we all have dicks which they think makes us dicks we just got to prove them wrong by showing respect and proving all men are not mean like our fathers. - 3 months ago
motorboater To follow the golden rule, apply it across the board. You have to be measured and fair about women, just as you ask to be treated.

You say "women have no respect for men." But that's too far. You say the women are the ones placing "barriers between us" but that's only half the story. The other half is what men do.

And it seems like you think women are to blame for causing resentment, rampant divorce, single parenting, sexual harrassment. They are...but again, only about 50% of it. - 3 months ago
jon-lefty Ya women have been under respected. ya and I as a guy I say i'm sorry. but treating us like crap because some one treated them like that is no reason to treat others that way. - 3 months ago
A-R-Norman I agree with you to an extent hun--I am so tired of women treating men like brainless twits--you are our compliments and have your own wisdom and beauty! I love my brothers, despite any faults ( women have them too!)! But there is more to our issues to the battle of the sexes--if we can come to table, realize errors on BOTH sides and lsiten, we may come away with something wonderful! - 3 months ago

Guys: Do you really fall in love with a girl?
lvrgirl2011 asked Yesterday

Yes, I've been in love.

No, I've never been in love.

I'm scared to love someone.

LOVE is an over-used word that doesn't have meaning.
