My boyfriend hooked up with his so called 'BFF' and claims that their just friends. Is that possibly?

The fact that he is your boyfriend means something. That is if I am interpreting that correctly. If he is your boyfriend and you are OK with him hooking up with anyone then I would recommend reevaluating your relationship.

On the actual question though, I don't know if it is possible or not. I personally don't think I could hook up with anyone and have it mean nothing. I probably wouldn't hook up with anyone that it wouldn't mean anything with. But I am not this guy. I know a lot of people that claim to be able to do it just fine. I can't comment on the truth of that, all I can say is that people say it a lot.

I've been FWB with a girl who was a good friend, with no emotions involved, but we both knew that there was no possible way we would work out. She was moving away in less than a year, and it was just something we did together for that time. She got married and had kids, and we still talk occasionally 20 years later. So, yes, it's *possible*.

Not everyone can pull it off (you have to be emotionally mature), but *do* keep in mind that guys definitely CAN have sex without any emotional involvement, and it's "just sex." Not all sex is like that, to be sure, but it can be.

I've slept with a good friend (female) a few times and it just made us closer friends. Nothing awkward about it. We will most likely never date, but we are only better friends because of the experience. We know each other in a way that most of our other friends don't.

It's definitely possible. A while ago, I was discretely hooking up with one of my best friends for a while, both knowing that we're not each others' long term relationship material. We were very honest with each other about expectations and feelings and stuff, and to this day she's still one of my best friends.
