What does it mean when a guy friend calls you bro, does that mean your friend zoned and he only likes you as a friend, I don't mind because I only like him as a friend too but it's confusing because a while ago he was saying how he wanted to go on a date and stuff and now he's calling me bro

No it's like a person saying alright mate as your walking past. They want a reaction to see if your dangerous or not. Most people will give a how are you doing back. Some might ignore it. Some might get offended and attack. It's like putting your head through the front door of a strange house and saying hello to the empty air to see if anybodies in. It kinda shows the other guy I'm no hard man pal look at me calling you bro. Just another friendly guy not looking for trouble. It's an affectionate thing between pals otherwise.
