JamielovesKU

Do you ever get dry, cracked, irritated skin during the fall or winter or even year round, or are you a nurse that has to wash your hands VERY frequently but then when you use expensive store bought lotions it just seems to make it worse? Well I want to share with you some of the simple lotion/lotion bar recipes chapsticks that are cheaper than burts bees and are just as goodthat work much better than the nasty store bought lotions and chapsticks and are really good for your skin that you dont have to think twice about using (unless of course you are allergic to the intgredients used). These are 100% natural and have worked for my dry hands that even other people have noticed. :) Don't believe me? Check them out yourself!

Lotion Bars

Things you'll need: A mold or container to put the bar in. Coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, beeswax, stove or microwave to melt it. And a pot or bowl.

Instructions: Take all 4 ingredients and melt them til each are equally melted. Take and pour it into your fave container and wait for it to harden. Thats it! Can be used just about anywhere on the body and your body heat will be enough to melt the lotion bar to absorb into the skin.

Body lotion/Body Butter

Things you will need: A container of your choice, coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, grapeseed oil, essential oil (optional), a blender.

Instructions: Take coconut oil and shea butter and put them in the blender until whipped into a butter consistancy. Take the olive oil and grapeseed oil and mix it in after the lotion is at the butter consistancy. Then take the essential oil and add to your liking. Note: Add as much coconut oil and shea butter and oil as neccessary to get the consistancy you want. In other words just experiement with it.

Chapstick/Lipbalm

Things you will need: Lipbalm containers or old chapstick containers, coconut oil, beeswax, grapeseed oil, olive oil, essential oil (optional), a dropper or tiny funnel, heating element (microwave, stove) and a bowl or pot.

Instrctions: Take the coconut oil and beeswax and melt them together then take the grapeseed oil and olive oil and add it after you melted the beeswax and coconut oil. Once melted together put your essential oil in and then take the dropped or funnel and transfer it from the bowl or pot into the container or tube of your choice. Wait for it to harden.

Note: The more oil you put in the more softer the chapstick/lipbalm will be. The more beeswax the harder it will be. Be quick when transfering it because it does start to harden rather quickly from my experience.

These also make perfect gifts for loved ones and friends for any occasion!

Note! I have not made all of them this is just how I personally would make them.

Common sense caution! Take it easy when handling hot oil it does burn!
